Kwon Hyuk-Joon's grandfather, the head of the traditional Kwon family agrees to an arranged marriage between his grandson and Yoon Jung-Sook when Yoon Jung-Sook is born. 18 years later, the two families lose contact because soon after the contract is signed, Jung-Sook's family encounters financial issues and is forced to run away. Meanwhile, Jung-Sook has grown up to be a rebellious and strong-willed girl who just wants to live her life as she sees fit. With little aspirations, she is the direct foil of her achievement-bound counterpart, Hyuk-Joon. When the two meet each other, they clash horribly; Jung-Sook thinks her fiancee is nothing but boring, and Hyuk-Joon believes Jung-Sook to be nothing but an immature child. Despite all this they do marry. The rest of the series follows their life living together as a couple, and the obstacles they are faced with.

Willing to turn herself in, Jung Sook brings the apple box with her to the prosecution office and holds her breath as they open the box in front of her. Meanwhile, at the head family gathering, Hyuk Joon and his grandfather are feeling nervous because Jung Sook is late.

Right before the Jaegal faction gets swept up, Hyuk Joon is summoned, and not knowing what happened, Jung Sook waits for her husband out in the rain.

Meanwhile, Jung Sook’s grandfather’s Elder Kwon is planning to attend Jung Sook’s grandfather's memorial service, and with time to spare, she takes Elder Kwon to sing karaoke.

Hyuk Joon wonders if something is wrong with his heart since it keeps beating whenever he sees Jung Sook. He starts seeing her face everywhere and realizes he loves her, so he decides to confess to her as he prepares wine and candles at home. Ga Young grabs Jung Sook by the hair, and they begin to fight physically. The Jaegal faction ends up kidnapping Jung Sook instead of Ga Young and Choi Gye Jin is shocked to see her.

Jung Sook and Hyuk Joon are frightened to see each other with their clothes gone as they wake up, but everything looks pink to them since they are so happy. Despite overcoming the trials with Sun Ah’s help, Jung Sook gets embarrassed as her lack of cooking skills gets exposed. Stuck in a bad predicament, everyone gets nervous as Jung Sook suddenly starts dry heaving.

Jung Sook begins prenatal care as soon as she returns to Seoul, while Hyuk Joon tries to take her to see a doctor and await the diagnosis.

Hyuk Joon’s heart is heavy as his uncle tells him to prepare to take care of the Kwon family. Jung Sook wants to go to Andong earlier. Elder Kwon gets upset at Hyuk Joon after hearing that he will quit his job to come to Andong and mentions that it’s not about taking care of the house but carrying on the family’s spirit.

He crashes the nightclub to round up some faction members but finds the underage Jung Sook hiding in the bathroom and takes her into custody.

As Jung Sook goes to find Hyuk Joon to ask for forgiveness, she boils with anger after seeing him trying to console an unfamiliar woman.

After practicing, she goes on an audition. Irritated over Jong Chan’s phone call with Ga Young, Sun Ah declares that Jong Chan is hers, and he asks why.

Worried about Jung Sook, Hyuk Joon heads to Andong and feels sorry for Jung Sook having to work hard. The elders send them both to a room, saying they need to produce an heir.

After waking up in the hospital, Jung Sook looks for Hyuk Joon and weeps after seeing a white sheet covering Hyuk Joon’s hospital bed.
