Dan has moved into the annex with Marianne and Flemming, whilst he longs for Josefine, who remains in Sweden with her ex-husband and stepsons.

And can they get to the truth before the case blows up in their faces? New secrets and old feelings fill the collective at the Sommerdahl villa.

Dan and the team continue to search for answers as to who last saw the deceased antique dealer. A witness reports an argument around the time of the murder, but is this the truth or a smokescreen? A messy family business and a debt continue to loom in the background, and the police must dig deeper into the past to get to the bottom of the case. A case of blackmail might just lead them to the killer. Dan tries to get some time alone with Josefine.

Dan and Flemming head over to the campground, and soon conflicts between the residents and the deceased, wealthy neighbor are running rampant. The commune at the Sommerdahl villa has gained another group of members, and Dan enjoys having everyone together.

#8 - Till Death Do Us Part – Part 1

Among the relics of the past is an antique dealer found shot dead in his own shop. The deceased had withdrawn a large sum of money the day before his death, leading Dan and Flemming to investigate a possible financial motive, an unresolved debt and some very unsavoury company. The police must examine every single item involved in the case and receive help from the family. Hanegaard questions Dan’s commitment to the station’s green transition. Josefine and Flemming grow closer at home, which puts further pressure on Dan.

Dan and Flemming are at a dead end in the case. However, when the deceased's missing mother resurfaces, it breathes new life into the investigation. The motive for the murder surprises everyone, and the killer is to be found in an unexpected place. Dan must close the case while wearing a tuxedo right before heading to his and Josefine's wedding. Whether Dan gets his happily-ever-after remains to be seen.
