BBC comedy about the lives, loves and hates of a group of 16-year-old girls who live on a South London housing estate. Viva Bennett (Adelayo Adedayo) lives with her dad Rob (Colin Salmon), a fire fighter, and her stepmother Anna (Dolly Wells), who is also the P.E. teacher at her school. In between playing on the same school football team, Viva, and friends Holli (Natasha Jonas), Saz (Mandeep Dhillon) and Amber (Alice Felgate), navigate a not-too-tentative path through the perils of adolescence, exploring along the way the ups and downs of school life, boys, homework and sex.

Viva is surprised when Rocky tells her he is dropping out of school. Viva tries to persuade him that it's not a good idea, but Rocky has another, even bigger, surprise for Viva. Holli is saving for a secret project. Amber is worried about Brandon who seems to have disappeared.

Much to the annoyance of her friends, Amber is selected to do a trial for Chelsea Ladies football team. Her grand behaviour annoys everyone. Holli’s romantic life becomes more complicated than ever - the girls need to help her choose which of her boyfriends she should keep. Saz discovers there’s a boy at Greenshoots who really likes her - unfortunately she doesn’t know who it is.

Amber is in charge of the girls' prom night plans. Anna ropes Viva in to organize prom night decorations against her will. Holli has finally got enough money to buy back her Mum’s jewelry before her Dad gets out of prison, but it proves more complicated than she thought.

Greenshoots Academy has been shortlisted to feature in a television documentary series. Unfortunately Headteacher, Mr Jefferies, is having traumatic personal problems so Holli tries to help. Viva attempts to mend the relationship between Amber and her sister, Topaz, but regrets interfering when she realizes what Topaz is really like.

The girls head off for their first music festival. Despite having to work on a t-shirt stall they still manage to pack in plenty of fun, hanging out with three boys in the tent next door.
