After Mehdi's death, perhaps with this traumatic pain, they have experienced, everyone has learned the last great lesson from life. After everything that has happened and with the last incident witnessed with their own eyes, even though some may not want to admit it but, their own heart is burning with fire. Zeynep, Cemile and Benal are devastated, and everyone around them must also be allowed to grieve, so they all bond together in order to help each other through this. During the grieving process, Baris takes a step back, leaving Zeynep alone with her own thoughts, but without taking his eyes off her. Slowly everyone starts to return to their normal lives, to remember how they actually lived. Before too much time passes, everyone, especially Zeynep, begins to give signals that they will make an effort to recover. As adults with experience, families take over the situation and plan a crisis recovery for all of the younger generation who are thrown around their pain.

The lie that Zeynep has told comes out into the open with all of it's ugliness. There is nowhere left to run and hide any longer. Mehdi feels like he has been conned. His pride has been hurt. Some of the truths that Nermin remembers confuses Zeynep even more. As she takes her steps she is now forced to consider all of this as well. Zeynep, who once again is confronted with Mehdi's anger, quickly wakes up from her love dream. In order to take control of this anger and to calm down the situation, she is going to end up losing her own dreams. The news of Burhan's returns drops onto everyone inside the house with very different meanings for everyone. As Müjgan is burning with pain of her dreams and love that she buried deep inside her heart many years ago, Mehdi declares his version of Marshall Law on the entire household. However it is only Zeynep who looks at this Mehdi and decides that she needs to do whatever she can to change him. Mehdi who has been trying to change in the name of love, is now burning because of love. He cannot keep the promises that he has made as he is burning with anger and taking it out of everyone. In the end as usual it is Zeynep who is stuck in the middle of all this, and once again it will be Zeynep who is force to pay the price.

When Zeynep meets Mehdi's dark side she is heartbroken. For years she has been running from her fate, but it continues to surround her. As Mehdi is trying to figure out what is happening, Sakine opens her mouth and tells a lie without thinking what the consequences are going to be, and this lie cracks open another door in Zeynep's marriage. Zeynep is now face to face with the fact that she and Mehdi know nothing about each other. Faruk feels like he has been betrayed and he starts to makes thoughtless and stupid moves. He has no intentions of giving up on Zeynep very easily. Mehdi finds a way of dealing with his mistrust of Zeynep. However when some photographs show up, it becomes obvious again that they are many difficulties between them that still have to be resolved.

Zeynep's world collapses when she finds herself locked at home, and she makes the decision to take every step necessary to take control of her life. Baris and Nermin's concerns about Mehdi continues to grow. Mehdi's surprise decision will affect everyone. While Cemile and Nuh are trying to start their new live, Müjgan also thinks of going to Erzurum for a while. Meanwhile, tension increases with the fact that Mehdi brings Bayram to his home. While Zeynep is working hard for her job, the date of the trial in Bulgaria has come. However, this situation makes it difficult for Mehdi to deal with his growing jealousy. While all these are happening, with Burhan's step, nobody's life will be the same anymore.

The bickering between Ali Riza and Sultan continues, but they do also become very protective of each other. Discharged from the hospital, Mehdi returns to prison. There he meets an old friend of his father: Cengiz. A new friendship begins. Although his whole family is happily waiting for the day when Mehdi will be free, the traps set by his enemy Veysi for Mehdi are not yet over.

A huge argument breaks out between Baris and Zeynep when it is reviled that Zeynep was actually had taken Mehdi's case. Zeynep was also furious when she learns that Baris has been following her and she feels that he is trying to navigate her life. This is a situation that she does not want to be involved in. Zeynep tells her family that she has taken on Mehdi's case. Baris also learns that his brother Savas has been helping Zeynep with Mehdi's case. He is very angry and disappointed with Zeynep. Also because of this chain of events the trip to Sofia, Bulgaria is canceled. Mehdi is now certain that he will not be released from prison. He has lost all hope of obtaining his freedom and being reunited with his family. He now swears retaliation and revenge from Veysi who has put him in this position. As Zeynep thinks that the possibility of getting Mehdi released from prison has become impossible, a sudden phone call changes everything.

Zeynep and her family were very lucky that no one was hurt by the attack made on them. Now everyone is trying to figure out what was the reason for such an attack. While all of the arrows seem to point towards Mehdi and his new position, Zeynep once again becomes cold-blooded but also very considerate by demanding that you cannot convict someone without knowing the evidence or the truth, so she is after finding out the truth. Baris totally with all of his heart wants to be by Zeynep's side and wants to protect her, but the new chain of events and what he is forced to deal with is pushing him to view things more clearly. He is certain that somehow someway Mehdi is involved in this attack, and he has to look for the evidence tying this attack somehow to Mehdi. However when there is a chain of events that surface regarding this attack, and while everyone's world is going to turn upside down, the following second attack this time they are not going to be as lucky.

Following the shooting directed at Nermin, Baris, and Zeynep, it becomes clear that Mehdi is innocent and has nothing to do with this situation. However, the wounded Mehdi has to be taken to the hospital, and there is a possibility that the authorities will consider him in violation of his parole and this becomes a very risky situation. Following this situation Zeynep, Sakine, Nermin, Sultan, and Emine, get into a detailed questioning of all of the lies and truths that Mehdi has told. This is a man that they have constantly accused with or without reason for everything that he has done in the past, and here he is without batting an eye jumping in front of the fire to save their lives. As it would be the appropriate thing for them to all do, even if he was a total stranger to them, is to put everything that has happened aside with Mehdi and start at new. However, such an event happens at the end that everyone is going to be asking "Can a person really change?".

Nesrin and Tarik introduce themselves as brother and sister to Baris, Zeynep, and Nermin; but it's obvious that they are a couple and come here with a plan. Tarik and Nesrin fall into a situation that can reveal their identity but the help they receive from Meltem helps them. Gülbin tries to from her mother Sakine as she has a feeling that she is going to recognize her for who she really is, but she still goes ahead and attends the dinner invitation as Nesrin accepting the dinner invite made by Baris and Zeynep. After dinner at Baris's house, the games begin, and the problem is that Emine does not like Nesrin at all. Emine has very strong feelings against Nesrin, so this causes the night to end very early for everyone. Afterwards Emine once again firmly warns Zeynep to be very careful. Meanwhile with Tarik's arrival at the restaurant and joining them for dinner causes much friction when he is introduced to Ali Riza. Ali Riza's instincts do not like or trust Tarik at all.

Baris's heart is broken for the last time. While going to an end with no return, Baris comes to terms with his own weaknesses, childhood, and emotions. He thinks he has to put up with it, even though he is not ready to hear everything is over. There is no back step to take, he is stuck in the corner. However, this time as a determined, faithful lover, Zeynep takes out Baris, and herself, for the last time from the corner where they are stuck. They no longer have to tolerate unhappiness, despair, and hurt. Baris stands with hope, like every faithful lover, in the face of this healing and restorative attitude, which he has not seen from Zeynep for a long time. They are now on the way to establish a home that is ready to be settled and will not easily be allowed to be ruined by anyone. While Baris has already begun to scar on their necks, Zeynep and Sakine will appear before Gülbin, whose heart is hardened, unexpectedly, and will sow the undeniable seeds of goodness.

Zeynep and Mehdi start off their relationship on a new path. Now, they will not only take up responsibility for themselves, but for Kibrit as well. The tension between Zeynep and Mehdi escalates when Mehdi sees Baris at her house. Mehdi, who is trying to control his anger, first breaks Zeynep's heart and then takes his anger on Nuh. Mehdi, who turns his back on Nuh because of his relationship with Cemile, will even leave his work and become even lonelier. During his visit, Baris wins the hearts of the household with his willingness and helpfulness. Zeynep now realizes that she can talk with Baris about anything. However, the friendship between Baris and Zeynep, which is getting stronger day by day, will soon become the target of Mehdi's jealousy. While on one hand Zeynep struggles with question marks and jealousy about Nazli and Mehdi, on the other hand she tries to support Cemile and Nuh. Zeynep and Mehdi rushes to the farm following an emergency phone call from Nermin. The opened door leads to the beginning of a search for secrets.

Baris' suspects that Zeynep who has taken on Mehdi's case leaves her in a very difficult position. As for Mehdi, based on the information that he has received from Zeynep, he is confident that he is going to be released from prison. He is excited about being reunited with his family and he has the hope building inside that he will be able to eventually get Zeynep to forgive him. Mehdi along with his other cellmate Cengiz has developed a very strong relationship. Baris and Zeynep continue to become even closer with each other. In order to not have to deal with the pressure and verbal abuse from those that they care for, Baris and Zeynep decide that they are going to keep their current relationship a secret just between the two of them. However, Baris has a plan in store for Zeynep - a 10 day planned trip. Zeynep and the entire household family is stunned by the sudden arrival of their guests. Especially when Baris and his family arrive with flowers and chocolate.

Zeynep, who was kidnapped by Mehdi, is confronted with a side of him she has never seen. Mehdi loses all his ability to think properly. The only thing he wants to believe and hold on to is Zeynep's love, but he has become even ignoring Zeynep himself for this. Having gone mad with Zeynep's abduction, Baris puts forth all that he has to find Zeynep while blaming himself because he could not protect her. Meanwhile, he will get the most help from Savas. Savas calls on everyone to help using the power of social media. The solidarity shown by the two brothers to find Zeynep begins to reveal the bond of love between them. Because of what happened, both Zeynep's and Mehdi's house turns into war zones. As Zeynep struggles with the shock of her trauma, she tries to smile again with her birthday surprise. In Cemile's mind, there are other plans for Mehdi to get his life back on track.

While Zeynep continues to blame herself, she confronts her worst fear thanks to Emine. Finally, she feels that she is being dragged into a crossroads in her relationship with Mehdi. As Emine continues to ignore what Faruk has done, Faruk takes it one step further. Although Emine is struggling with her loneliness, she continues to hurt her loved ones.
