Everyone has a memory of an unrequited love. Most of the time, unrequited love ends in embarrassment. However, unrequited love isn’t all that bad. It can be sweet and it can make your heart flutter. There is a man who has been in love with a woman for a very long time. They aren’t lovers nor are they just friends. After giving up his dream to become a track athlete, he couldn’t go to college. He spent three years doing nothing and another three studying for the civil servant exam. Pil goes to where Jae Hyun took Soo Jin and tries to rescue her. Jae Hyun and Pil get into a fight. While fighting, Jae Hyun stabs Pil with a knife. While Pil is fighting for his life, Soo Jin gets sucked into the manhole. She returns to the moment where she gets married to Jae Hyun. Upon realizing this, she goes to find Pil.

Soo Jin asks for Pil's help. On her way to meet him, she gets into an accident. Pil begins to dig into the manhole to save Soo Jin, who is unconscious. Seok Tae and the others join him in digging so that they can help Pil travel time and help Soo Jin. Meanwhile, Jae Hyun hides the fact that he was the one who hit her and stays by her side. While he's taking care of her, Soo Jin wakes up.

Pil explains to Soo Jin that they had traveled time through the manhole. He comforts her, and she realizes Pil's sincerity when he told her that he will always protect her. Meanwhile, Young Ju approaches Soo Jin while pretending like it's a chance encounter. Jae Hyun begins to suspect Soo Jin and Pil and begins to follow them.

It's the day that Jae Hyun proposes to Soo Jin. Pil is disappointed at Soo Jin's cold behavior towards him and goes to have drinks with Jin Sook. He ends up falling asleep at Jin Sook's loft. Jin Sook confesses her feelings to Pil, and he finds out that that she had been the one trying to ruin Pil and Soo Jin's relationship.
