Several years ago, the emperor secretly ordered the hero Li Hui to form a mountain stronghold consisting of bandits in order to keep the pugilist world under control. His daughter, Li Jin Rong, leads the stronghold after Li Hui’s death and gives birth to Zhou Fei after marrying scholar Zhou Yi Tang. Zhou Fei’s attempts at escaping have always ended in failure, though Li Jin Rong allows her daughter to go and experience the world outside after her 16th birthday. She meets Xie Yun again after he saves her from drowning during her first escape attempt, and they embark on an adventurous journey through wulin together.

Pitiful Clam poisons Li Jin Rong and flees with the five Sea-to-sky tokens. Zhou Fei hurries off to chase after her but gets poisoned. Li Sheng also leads a group of men down the mountain to face the enemy. Shen Tian Shu arrives in Hanshui Town to meet up with Pitiful Clam and unexpectedly runs into Li Yan. Li Yan mistakes him for a regular civilian and offers to help him hide from the Disha. Shen Tian Shu uses this opportunity to get close to her when he suspects her knowing something about the Sea-to-sky map.

Zhou Fei get into Qi Sect's Forbidden Grounds, but so does Shen Tian Shu. With their lives at threat, Li Sheng makes a deal with Shen Tian Shu. Li Sheng successfully opens the door to Sea-to-sky, but Shen Tian Shu goes back on his words. Fortunately, Zhou Fei and Xie Yun show up in time. Zhou Fei and Shen Tian Shu each grab half of the books that they want. As Xie Yun's condition worsens, Zhou Fei and Xie Yun come up with a plan to get that half of the book.

#3 - The Secret Entrance

Shen Tian Shu finally gets the Sea-to-sky tokens in his hands and proceeds to try and find the entrance to Big Medicine Valley. Gu Tian Xian tries to find the entrance by deciphering the poem that Li Yan recited to Shen Tian Shu, but to no avail. As a result, Shen Tian Shu goes to see Yu Wen Zhi for his help. Zhou Fei decides to go against the Disha and search for the Sea-to-sky as well. When Li Yan hears this, she tells Zhou Fei and the others that the Sea-to-sky is in Big Medicine Valley. Everyone is determined to help officially put an end to this so they agree to set off to the valley together.

#4 - Chance Meeting

Bandits ambush the village where Zhou Fei and Li Sheng are staying. The bandits are suspected to be from the Huo Family Fort. Li Sheng takes matter into his own hands, but Zhou Fei follows after him. They get separated and Zhou Fei falls into a hidden dungeon, where she meets Xie Yun again.

#5 - Hazardous Grounds
Season 1 - Episode 48 - Aired 1/31/2021
Zhou Fei and her companions finally decipher the poem and find the entrance to the Sea-to-sky. However, the grounds are filled with mechanisms, eventually causing the team to get split up. Zhou Fei and Xie Yun are trapped inside a chamber and they find the Mantra of Equality. Zhou Fei starts practicing it, but this powerful cultivation method soon weakens her energy. Shen Tian Shu and his men also find the entrance and quickly catch up with Li Sheng and the others. Knowing they are outnumbered, they are forced to run and hide from the Disha.
#6 - Rescue Mission
Season 1 - Episode 47 - Aired 1/30/2021
Li Sheng and the others find their way into Big Medicine Valley after finding a boy whose parents had been killed. Unfortunately, the Disha has arrived before them and the villagers are all locked up. Debating whether to rescue them or locate Sea-to-sky first, Zhou Fei eventually chooses to save the villagers first. Zhou Fei challenges Gu Tian Xian and Lu Tian Kuang to a fight to distract them. Li Sheng, Yang Jin, and Li Yan rescue the villagers. Chu Chu, on the other hand, sets out to seek help from General Wen Yu whose army is stationed nearby.

#7 - Swapping Hostages

Zhou Fei and Xie Yun meet up with Li Sheng and Yang Jin in Hanshui Town. With the help of the Traveler's Sect and Madam Ni Chang, Gu Tian Xian is now captured. After realizing that Li Yan is seized by Shen Tian Shu, Xie Yun makes a plan to take Li Yan's place as the hostage. Using Gu Tian Xian as a bargaining chip, Shen Tian Shu accepts Xie Yun's offer but fails to realize the trap set by Li Sheng to capture Pitiful Clam.
#8 - The Ambush

Chief Li makes plans to hand over her duties in the strongholds before attacking Shen Tian Shu. However, both Zhou Fei and Li Sheng find her recent actions too odd and confront her just when she is leaving the strongholds. #9 - Preparing for the Worst

#10 - Defending the Strongholds

As part of his plot to vanquish the 48 Mountain Strongholds, Yu Wen Zhi locks civilians up and also orders Shen Tian Shu to attack the Strongholds again. With a battle looming ahead, the elders and disciples of the 48 Mountain Strongholds prepare the mountains for defense. Meanwhile, Zhou Fei leads a team down the mountains to capture Yu Wen Zhi and save the imprisoned civilians.
#11 - The Trespasser

A trespasser happens to save them both when they try crossing the infamous Ximo River's Weaving Formation, unaware that it is a trap set by the river's guardian. Indebted to Xie Yun, Zhou Fei decides to let him escape.

Li Yan and Yang Jin manage to hold on to the Zhuming Grass. Just when they finally meet up with Li Sheng and Chu Chu, the Disha appear. The girls run while the boys stay to stall for some time. Li Sheng fires a signal to Fei to ask for help and she arrives just in time. Everyone gets away safely while Fei hurries off to Penglai with the life-saving grass for Xie Yun. Fei arrives in Penglai when Xie Yun is still awake but barely. Before he falls into a coma again, he has prepared some small gifts for Fei.

Ying He Cong brings Li Yan and Yang Jin to the Rising Cloud Ravine to find the Zhuming Grass needed for Xie Yun's antidote. However, the herb is located inside the forest filled with deadly miasma. Meanwhile, Hu Tian Ying also arrives at the Rising Cloud Ravine, thinking Zhou Fei is there to find the herb herself. She takes over Little Medicine Valley and keeps everyone hostage. #19 - Close to Home

After Madam Ni Chang gives Zhou Fei a blade originally meant for her grandfather, she and the Yuyi Troupe disappear without a word. Mr. Ma finally tracks down Zhou Fei and leads the way back to the 48 Mountain Strongholds. As they get close to the strongholds, they realize Yang Jin has been tailing them the whole way. Kou Dan shows Yu Lao a letter from Mingfeng Tower's old enemies, who seemingly want to make peace with them. Kou Dan voices her desire to revive Mingfeng Tower, but Yu Lao advises against doing anything about the letter.

#20 - Azure Dragon

Zhou Fei and Xie Yun are both at the same inn, but Zhou Fei now knows of Xie Yun's true identity. She's mad at him for lying to her, but Chu Chu manages to convince her that he has a good reason for doing so. Xie Yun takes the blame for Yin Pei's actions in drawing Master Azure Dragon to the inn. Everyone in the inn is in danger and Xie Yun decides to talk to Ji Yun Chen about their secret passage. Master Azure Dragon shows up to capture Yin Pei but to no avail.

General Wu Fei is captured by Disha Mountain Pavilion, so Chen Fei is sent to help his children escape. Xie Yun helps them when he sees Disha men searching for them. After Zhou Fei's father leaves, she spends all of her time at Ximo River, trying to break through the Weaving Formation. The day of the Xiushan Hall's examination also arrives. Zhou Fei is determined to pass the examination when her mother says her father has sent her a message in his letter, but she will only tell her if she passes the examination.

On Yu Wen Zhi's orders, Pitiful Clam disguises herself as a physician and successfully joins the Third Prince's voyage to the 48 Mountain Strongholds. The Third Prince, Chen Zi Chen, arrives at the 48 Mountain Strongholds to propose to Zhou Fei. Zhou Fei takes the chance to make Xie Yun jealous.
