#1 - Disappeared

Season 1 - Episode 2 - Aired 1/15/2016

A detainee in a forensic psychiatric facility has escaped during a trial leave. Dries once arrested this man for abusing and torturing his girlfriends’ daughters, and now, together with Esther, he is determined to get him back into the facility. Meanwhile, Ben is suspended, and Stan is assigned a new partner, Lieve Jansons, to investigate the disappearance of a notary. Stan is less than thrilled about his new colleague, as he’s worried about his suspended partner, Ben, who has become unreachable, caught up in his own agenda. When Stan finally meets Ben at a restaurant, the evening turns into a nightmare.

A recently released cleaning lady is executed on the street after finishing her work. She had been incarcerated for the murder of her stepfather. Stan and Noucha investigate whether this past crime could be the motive for her murder. They discover that the woman had big plans after her release, including attempting to blackmail a high-ranking official. Contrary to her image, she hadn't been living a promiscuous life after her release. Meanwhile, Dries and Esther investigate the possible suicide of a professional tennis player.

A burglary at detective Ben Slachter's home ends fatally for the intruder. His partner, Stan Vroom, supports his colleague unconditionally, but is he telling the whole truth? Amsterdam’s Public Prosecutor Hein Berg disrupts a key witness case and relocates to Rotterdam, where they hope he’ll be better suited for teamwork. His first case involves two hooligans who take detectives Dries van Weelden and Esther Wegereef hostage in an attempt to obtain 5 kilos of cocaine. The plan fails, but when the hooligans reveal they need the drugs because their sister is being held by dangerous criminals, Berg must decide how the team will work to free the girl.

#4 - Grenade

Season 4 - Episode 3 - Aired 9/27/2019

A grenade placed in front of a hair salon results in tragedy. The detectives investigate and soon suspect that most business owners on the street are being extorted. Did someone resist, leading to a grenade at their doorstep? Or should the culprit be sought elsewhere? The detectives ultimately unravel the story behind this drama, but whether the true culprits will be punished remains uncertain.

#5 - Tina

Season 4 - Episode 8 - Aired 11/1/2019

A colleague of the detectives is killed in an attack on Robin. She must confess to her colleagues that she has been secretly working on an investigation into Tina (crystal meth). Stan is angry about her lack of teamwork and keeps a close eye on her. Dries and Noucha, through a well-known police informant, track down a group of Romanians who claim that there are more players in the market. Meanwhile, as Robin continues her own investigation, things begin to spiral out of control.

Season 3 - Episode 4 - Aired 9/28/2018

A failed ATM bombing by two young criminals ignites a gang war within Rotterdam's Turkish underworld, resulting in the deaths of the leaders of two rival gangs. Investigating within the Turkish community proves challenging, but the dead men turn out to have more in common than initially thought. Hein Berg takes over the case files of prosecutor Kiki Ruijters and is introduced to Charlie, a young officer who has infiltrated a youth gang. This is the same gang involved in stalking Saskia, Stan's girlfriend.

In a reformed community, a 15-year-old girl goes missing. Dries and Esther, who knows the community well, investigate the case. Clues quickly emerge that convince Esther the naive girl has fallen victim to "loverboys," but Dries isn’t so sure yet. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve follow up on the street robbers Lieve had previously apprehended. Stan, however, is too preoccupied with thoughts of Ben, prompting Lieve to continue the investigation alone. But is that a wise decision?

During the unveiling of a newly restored painting, the restorer collapses, poisoned. A second murder leads the detectives to investigate the financiers behind this high-profile art restoration.

A potential attack puts the entire team on high alert. Strong evidence suggests that two girls plan to detonate bombs in the city that afternoon. All available units are mobilized to prevent a disaster. They identify who the girls are, but it becomes a race against the clock. Can they succeed, and at what cost?

Season 2 - Episode 8 - Aired 11/3/2017

Stan and Lieve investigate the murder of two members of Manfred’s motorcycle club. Henri Houtman, a former business associate of Jort, is possibly involved, but he seems to have vanished without a trace. During a large-scale investigation into drug trafficking at a vocational school, a familiar figure emerges—the murderer of Hein Berg’s daughter. Berg decides to use Ben Slachter to lure the murderer into a trap.

Season 1 - Episode 6 - Aired 2/12/2016

Dries and Esther investigate the murder of a wealthy Rotterdam man, who appears to have been a victim of date rape due to his online meetings with strange men. However, he was estranged from his religious family, and not everyone there seems to be telling the truth. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve handle a report from a banker whose car and house have been vandalized. As he is responsible for managing overdue payments at the bank, a number of people emerge as possible suspects. When the banker also goes missing, all alarms go off.

#13 - Explosive

Season 3 - Episode 3 - Aired 9/21/2018

To his own surprise, Stan finds himself in an extramarital affair with the alluring Saskia. When she is threatened, she turns to him for help, putting him in a difficult position. Meanwhile, newcomer Noucha discovers that a cache of explosives has been stolen during a bankruptcy case. This is already dangerous, but the situation escalates when news breaks that a dangerous jihadist is hiding in Rotterdam. While one team pursues the jihadist, Noucha harbors doubts about the credibility of the tips that have set this hunt in motion.

#14 - Adultery

Season 4 - Episode 7 - Aired 10/25/2019

During a burglary at Hein's, his deceased daughter's computer is stolen. When the computer resurfaces, it turns out to be full of child pornography. Berg is suspended and Hooi removes his team from the investigation, which will be taken over by the National Criminal Investigation Department. But the detectives have no intention of stopping. They discover a conspiracy at the Public Prosecution Service where love affairs and careerism have led to a toxic mixture. Esther tries to find her way in Daniel's sect.

#15 - The Lawyer

Season 4 - Episode 5 - Aired 10/11/2019

A well-known criminal rapper is shot at after a visit to his lawyer. He suspects his lawyer of complicity, especially when Stan and Noucha discover that the lawyer also works for a rival. The lawyer’s life is now in danger, and Hein persuades him to become a crown witness. Meanwhile, Esther and Dries investigate a rape case. DNA found on the victims matches that of a man who has been convicted for stalking his ex. Esther is skeptical of the accusations, and it seems her doubts may be justified.

#16 - Kidnapped

Season 1 - Episode 5 - Aired 2/5/2016

A mother reports that her son is still inside a museum after closing time. When the alarm goes off, security assumes it’s triggered by the boy, but it turns out a highly valuable painting has been stolen. Dries and Esther quickly discover that the mother lied—her son was kidnapped, and she was forced to tell this story. The child is found soon afterward but is heavily drugged. Dries and Esther discuss the case with Hein Berg, who believes the kidnapping is the top priority, but an insurance representative, a former policeman, disagrees. Meanwhile, Stan and Lieve investigate the brutal assault of a gay man who was attacked after leaving his favorite bar.

While Stan and Dries pursue Egbert Nekke, Esther and Noucha delve into one of Esther's old rape cases. In court, it appears that the previous statements from both the victim and the suspect don’t add up.

The death of Ben Slachter and his betrayal of his colleagues has left a profound impact on the team. One of the detectives has requested a transfer and will need to be replaced. A young prosecutor brings a money-laundering case to Hein Berg, only to be found murdered shortly afterward. The team also faces a group of loitering youths involved in drug trafficking.

#19 - Greed

Season 1 - Episode 7 - Aired 2/19/2016

The entire team intensifies its focus on the supposed suicide of a victim connected to the missing banker. But was it really a suicide? And did the banker disappear because of one of his bankrupt clients? As they delve into the banker’s dealings, it becomes clear that he hadn’t always acted ethically or honestly. Not only did he make money for the bank, but he and his friends personally profited significantly as well.

#20 - Fatum

Season 4 - Episode 9 - Aired 11/8/2019

Noucha saves a man who is on the verge of dying from a heart attack. Only later does she learn from her colleagues that the man is a notorious criminal—an elusive human trafficker with a long record of abuse and murders of his wives. Despite previous investigations, they have never been able to catch him, as his wives refuse to testify against him. Noucha is determined to bring him to justice. Meanwhile, Esther finds herself in serious trouble within Daniel's sect. She uncovers their active pursuit of Armageddon and their plans to sabotage the internet to achieve their goal.

#21 - The rat

Season 2 - Episode 1 - Aired 9/15/2017

Lieve survives an assassination attempt, thanks to the self-sacrificing actions of Prosecutor Hein Berg. Will this prove fatal for him? The presumed-dead Ben Slachter has secretly been following his former partner Stan's investigation. While Lieve can understand Ben's actions, Stan feels very differently. Meanwhile, Esther and Dries are faced with a case involving a kidnapped baby, with the kidnappers demanding millions in ransom. Lieve and Stan arrest Jort Wester, a respected businessman accused of rape by his underage adopted daughter. The journey to the detention center, however, does not go smoothly.

#22 - RIP

Season 1 - Episode 8 - Aired 2/26/2016

A truck driver reports his suspicion that certain shipments he transports from the port contain cocaine. He approaches the detectives to catch the perpetrators red-handed. However, it’s up to Prosecutor Berg to make the final decision. Berg hesitates to put a civilian at risk, but the driver and detectives push for the plan. Eventually, Berg agrees, though whether it's a wise decision remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Stan begins to realize there’s more going on with his former partner Ben, and that the mysterious Van Nieuwerbroek is involved. Officially, however, he can’t take any action against him.

#23 - Suicide

Season 4 - Episode 1 - Aired 9/13/2019

The detectives face an exceptionally violent armed robbery of a cash transport vehicle. The robbers don’t hesitate to open fire on bystanders and police. Two of the three robbers commit suicide before they can be apprehended. Eventually, the detectives manage to capture the third robber, but whether he has answers to their questions remains uncertain.

#24 - Slachter (2)

Season 2 - Episode 10 - Aired 11/17/2017

Henri Houtman has stolen Kim and Ben’s cocaine and is attempting to sell it quickly. Ben and Kim try to recover the stolen drugs. Stan and Lieve are suspicious of Ben’s motives, but he manages to dispel their doubts and requests freedom to act independently in order to apprehend everyone involved. Meanwhile, Dries and Esther pursue the escaped serial killer Jeffrey, who is seeking revenge on Dries's niece, Sanne. Esther makes her choice.

#25 - Trophies

Season 4 - Episode 2 - Aired 9/20/2019

A container filled with illegally hunted animals is intercepted at the Port of Rotterdam after a tip from South African rangers. Inside, authorities find a fresh human skull, identified as belonging to a Dutch student who had been interning in South Africa. A South African liaison joins the team to assist with the investigation, much to Dries’s delight. The trail eventually leads them to a Chinese enterprise trafficking in protected animal species.
