Action Bronson is taking over the Badmaash restaurant in Los Angeles for this special episode of FTD's Road to the Restaurant. With the help of the Badmaash family, we rolled out an exclusive menu inspiredx by Action’s favorite bites. To start this culinary adventure, we had an appetizer of sujuk croquettes paired with ivar, whipped feta, and stuffed zucchini. For the main course, we had lamb shanks, lahmajoun, and sujuk flatbreads. To finish the meal, the dessert was a whipped yogurt topped with honey, pistachio brittle, and sliced grapes. In today's episode, Action visits the young men behind the burgeoning Badmaash restaurant empire, Nakul and Arjun Mahendro. The brothers wanted Action to cook and sample some of their family's food, which they had their mother and father come in and make for them in the test kitchen behind their burger restaurant, Burgers 99. In this episode, Clovis visits Action in NYC. The day starts with a visit to Tony's Beechurst Deli in Whitestone Queens for some Italian American classics. Still, it quickly devolves into wine tasting with French wine legend Jean Pierre Robinot. If you are craving a tuna sandwich, a slice of pizza, or a five-course Taiwanese meal, then we have the episode for you. In today’s episode, we kick it off with an intense workout, then head to Radio Bakery for a crash course in sandwiches and pastries from the head baker. In this episode of FTD, Action Bronson scours New York City for the most obscure burger he can find. We started off our search in Chinatown, where we had simple and classic lamb burgers at JoJo Duck. Then, we headed over to Saigon Social in the Lower East Side for a round of delicious appetizers before tasting a one-of-a-kind banh mi burger. On this episode of FTD, Action Bronson scours New York City to find the most unique “alt” pasta in the city. First up, Action heads to Win Son Bakery in Brooklyn for some quick bites and coffee. Then, we head to Win Son Restaurant to start our pasta adventure. Here, we tried the ultimate Taiwanese pasta fusion dishes: from a large format wonton dish with a black bean paste to chili crisp spaghettini. Enjoy!

On this episode of FTD, Action Bronson continues his search for the most unique pasta flavors, this time in Los Angeles. #9 - ACTION BRONSON'S ROAD TO THE RESTAURANT PART 2

Season 7 - Episode 38 - Aired 6/10/2024

Action Bronson is creating the ultimate menu of sides using local NYC ingredients. First up, we stop by our favorite spot, Rosario’s, for some fresh cheeses and guanciale. Then, we stopped by the local butcher for the ultimate selection of cold cuts. Using those ingredients, we headed to the studio and created the ultimate tasting session of sides inspired by Action’s childhood food favorites. From a classic döner to an experimental take on a blooming onion, we tasted some epic eats. Enjoy!

#10 - THE BEST OF KOREAN FOOD IN LA FROM ICE SOUP TO GEODUCK

LA, we’re back! This time, we’re on the hunt for the best Korean food in the city. First up, we stopped by Koreatown for the classic kimbap. Then, we headed over to Yu Chan for their take on ice soup, a recipe that can be traced back to the 1300’s. Hibi provided the ultimate summer drinks, from matcha white strawberry soda to a pear and soju cocktail, alongside unique bites of flavors like geoduck. #11 - THE ALT BURGER JOURNEY CONTINUES...

Season 7 - Episode 41 - Aired 7/1/2024

The hunt for the ultimate alt burger isn’t over yet. On this episode of FTD, Action Bronson continues his search in New York City. First up, we headed over to Zaab Zaab in the Lower East Side for some Thai flavor fusion with dishes like their rice burger. We continued our journey in Queens at Mama Yoshi’s Mini Mart, where we tried their signature natto burger made with fermented soybeans. Finally, we went to Burger City, a classic American-style burger joint with the classics: mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, and cheeseburgers. Enjoy!

#12 - ACTION’S POP-UP TRAVELS FROM LA TO NYC!

LA’s Chumbeh pop-up was such a success that Action is bringing it to New York City on this episode of FTD’s Road to the Restaurant. In collaboration with local eateries like Win Son and La Bicyclette, the crew curated the ultimate menu inspired by Action’s favorite dishes. Starters ranged from meatballs and sujuk to croquetas with smoked sujuk to zucchini salad and more. The main course featured savory dishes like chicken melise and a shuk burger. For dessert, the meal concluded with a sweet feta cheese roulé. Enjoy!

#13 - ACTION BRONSON WORKS OUT WITH PRO TRAINERS FOR A DAY

We are trying something new here. While we have been dabbling in featuring Action's workouts for a couple of years, we have decided to go all in and show you complete training sessions. For our premier episode, the good people at Contra Sports Club opened their doors to us. Action jumped into a session with pro skaters Sean Malto and Nicole Hause, and Contra co-owner and athletic trainer Jessika Alexander took them through a workout.

Welcome back to FTD with Action Bronson. On this episode, we’re headed to North Bergen, New Jersey to check out the Pat LaFrieda facilities. Here, the finest quality dry-aged wagyu and other cuts of meat are made and shipped out to restaurants nationwide. After Pat LaFrieda Jr. walked us through the space and dry-aging process, we cooked some delicious steaks right out of a pickup truck in the parking lot. Enjoy!

After our time in Austria, the crew headed over to the next stop on the 2024 FTD European Tour: Milan. First up, Clovis visited Cascina Lago Scuro, a farmhouse and restaurant that’s been family-owned and operated for 300 years. We took an incredible tour through the grounds to stop by the “House of Salami” and watch fresh cheese get made. To wrap up the day, we sat down at the restaurant to try a variety of pizzas, pasta, and charcuterie bites, all using the ingredients made fresh on the property. The next day, Action joined Clovis and the crew visited Pan Milano to try a selection of fresh-baked breads and sandwiches before performing at Circolo Magnolia. Enjoy!

Over the last 10 years of FTD, chicken parmesan has been a go-to dish for Action Bronson and the crew. We’ve made dozens of versions of chicken parmesan, from the classic recipe to an experimental fried chicken ice cream sandwich. This time, we’re making 3 new chicken parmesan dishes: pesto chicken parmesan, chicken pasta-topped parmesan, and a chicken pasta-topped parmesan sandwich. Enjoy!

#25 - EATING THE BEST CUTLET IN THE WORLD IN MILAN

Action and Clovis visit two of Milan's classic eateries in this episode. The first location is Pasticceria Gattullo for light drinks, salads, and sandwiches. The second spot is Trattoria Masuelli San Marco. This restaurant is the kind of place you could spend three hours eating lunch, and it would feel like your visit was cut short. Saro and Maurizio are still in the mix, and we get a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Action's music video for the song "Shadow Realm."
