The gang is enlisted by Quetzal to help bring some soup to his ill brother Fernando. Unfortunately, they encounter a grumpy old troll and have to perform cartwheels to make him let this pass. This is a particular problem for Emmy, who is usually good at athletics, but has never done one before in her life.
Emmy and Max are dressed snappily. They're going to watch Princess Kidoodle be crowned queen of the doodle fairies. While practicing for the royal parade, they come across Sir Doodle, a worker for Princess Kidoodle. He can't carry the crown because the wind is too strong for him to fly. Still, he finds himself enjoying some of the new things and finds his fear of Ms. Tipps' changes lessening.
Celeste, a star, comes down to Dragon Land during the day. She enjoys being a star, but misses out on all the daytime activities, especially the rainbow which she really wants to see. He continues to feel left out and even after taking some advice from Quetzal, still can't help but feel like he's unwanted. After asserting himself, having some more fun, and trying some new things, he begins to learn that he's still cared about too and that he and Emmy both have a new friend.

Max, Emmy and Enrique head to Dragon Land for a game of hopscotch, where they find Ord in a very out-of-sorts mood. He doesn't even offer his usual hug and it turns out that he's upset because he can't seem to remember his numbers in Spanish that Quetzal has been teaching. Since they all know Spanish rather well, Max, Emmy and Enrique offer to help. The idea comes up that Ord can learn the numbers while they play their hopscotch game, which Enrique knows from Colombia as rayuela. Just as the game gets going, Norm the Number Gnome shows up and swipes the numbers. It turns out that he better likes the game that the dragons were playing just when our friends arrived --- Hot and Cold. He hides the numbers and Ord gets to learn how to say them in Spanish as everyone searches for them based on Norm's rhyming clues.
