Kevin Keene, a teenager from Northridge, California, and his dog Duke are brought to another universe called Videoland, where Nintendo video games are real, to defeat the evil villianess Mother Brain. Mother Brain is trying to conquer Videoland. Kevin has been brought to defeat her, as foretold in an ancient prophecy. Kevin is given the title "Captain N: The Game Master." He and Duke join the N Team consisting of Princess Lana (the ruler of Videoland), Simon Belmont (the hero from "Castlevania"), Mega Man, Kid Icarus, and later Gameboy (a supercomputer that looks like a Game Boy system). The N Team goes up against the evil Mother Brain (the villianess from "Metroid") and her minions King Hippo (from "Punch Out"), the Eggplant Wizard (from "Kid Icarus"), Dr. Wily (from "Mega Man") and Count Dracula (from "Castlevania"). #1 - Metroid Sweet Metroid
Season 1 - Episode 12 - Aired 11/25/1989
Mother Brain tricks the N-Team into thinking she's been defeated. She then opens up a warp zone, with Kevin's neighborhood shown on the other side. Thinking it's the Ultimate Warp Zone, Kevin goes through. Mother Brain captures the remaining N-Team members and sentences them to banishment in the Black Hole Warp Zone. Kevin, who's really on Metroid, finally gets back to the Palace and rescues the N-Team. *Goofs* Kevin is seen wearing his Power Pad and Zapper on the (illusionary) Northridge streets, even though he left them in Videoland.

Season 1 - Episode 1 - Aired 9/9/1989
Mother Brain has been laying siege to the Palace of Power for seven years. When it seems like all is lost, the Ancient Prophecy declares a young warrior (Captain N: The Game Master), who would lead them to victory. The Ultimate Warp Zone opens in the room of Kevin Keene, who is playing video games when he's supposed to be cleaning his room. The warp zone pulls Kevin in through his TV and his dog, Duke, jumps in after him. Kevin arrives in Video Land, at the feet of several Nintendo game heroes (Mega Man, Kid Icarus and Simon Belmont). Princess Lana tries to give Kevin his mission, but he would prefer to leave. Meanwhile, Mother Brain sends two of her incompetent goons, Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo, to kidnap Lana. After failing to stop them, Kevin tries to get the N-Team to come up with a plan. Can they save Lana in time and stop Mother Brain's forces.

#3 - How's Bayou
Season 1 - Episode 2 - Aired 9/16/1989
Mother Brain finds out that Kevin stinks at The Adventures of Bayou Billy. She has Dr. Wily make a robo-cat for her that she can control. It is sent to the Palace of Power. Meanwhile, Kevin is giving Lana dance lessons. Kevin suggests they go to Earth to impress Kevin's friends. Lana says some other time. Duke chases the robo-cat through the warp to Bayouland. Kevin goes after him. King Hippo and Eggplant Wizard go to Bayouland to make sure Kevin doesn't leave. After a few hours, the robo-cat sneaks back into the Palace. Mega Man catches it and shows it to Lana. Lana decides to go to Bayouland and warn Kevin that something's up, but she has to agree to a candlelight dinner with Simon in order to get him to come along. After falling through some quicksand, Kevin lands in a cave. An alligator is there, but Bayou Billy prevents it from eating Kevin. Billy agrees to help Kevin look for Duke, but first he teaches Kevin how to survive in the bayou. Kevin learns to use a whip. Billy goes to r

#4 - Once Upon a Time Machine
Season 2 - Episode 7 - Aired 11/17/1990
Count Gruemon steals Kevin's Power Pad and Zapper in Hyrule, so he and Link set out into the world of Puss 'n Boots to get them back, along with the help of Pero the cat.

#5 - The Fractured Fantasy of Captain N
Season 3 - Episode 7 - Aired 10/26/1991
His envy of the reigning Prince of Final Fantasyland makes Captain N susceptible to the spell of an elfin "fairy godfather" who promises to grant his every wish. The only hope of saving him is for Lana, Kid Icarus and Megaman to find the light crystal that will open Kevin's eyes to the evil elf's scheme to take over the land.

A power overload in the Palace of Power's football arena warps the N Team to Faxanadu – where they find themselves amidst a conflict between elves and dwarves – and an evil being bent on getting a powerful crystal that will let him conquer the video world.

Mother Brain fires Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo for failing to capture the Triforce – so they steal the Triforce pieces for themselves while Link and Zelda are away at Lana's royal ball.

Dragonlord is back – and his new plan for conquering Dragon's Den involves hatching a deadly golden dragon. Zelda and Link once again help the N Team by building a mechanical dragon to help sneak in and thwart Dragonlord's plan.

The N Team takes a trip to a world where Mother Brain is hypnotizing residents with a special kind of newspaper ink. They meet a paperboy named Julio who is trying to figure out the reason behind this, but they then discover why Julio is immune to the hypnotic ink - he is illiterate.

Kevin contracts a video virus he has no immunity to – so the N Team shrinks themselves down and goes inside Kevin's body to battle the virus.

#12 - When Mother Brain Rules
Season 2 - Episode 14 - Aired 1/5/1991
A retrospective look on the time since Kevin Keene arrived in Videoland. Oddly, there were two versions...one with voices...and one (the first shown version) without. The entire tone of the episode makes it one of the most confusing episodes as it doesn't seem entirely restrospective in how it's done...thus making many wonder...with as many battles as we've won, did we lose the war?

#13 - Misadventures in Robin Hood Woods
Season 3 - Episode 1 - Aired 9/14/1991
A pitstop on the world of Nottingham to fix the warp wagon teams Kevin and Kid Icarus with Robin Hood and his Merry Men to halt the devilish deeds of the Sheriff. But when the revenge-hungry Sheriff plots to capture the outlaw of Sherwood Forest, its Kid Icarus who winds up arrow-to-arrow in a Tournament of Champions that could save Maid Marion from her doom.

On the hoopy world of Hoopland, Kevin, Lana and Larry Bird find themselves in a race against a real-live Clockman. But sinking a basket into a Magic Hoop that grants wishes is the only way to save Hoopland from the rampaging destruction of a whopping, hopping giant robot.

When the Poltergeist King accuses Simon's great grandfather of being a coward, it takes all the bite out of the egotistical vampire hunter. Unless Captain N can restore his faith, by unveiling the King for the disguised vampire Count he is, a humiliated Simon vows to give up heroing forever.

Responding to an SOS from the world of Tetris, Kevin, Lana and Simon must face off with an army of humanoid Tetris blocks, controlled by a nasty Puzzle Wizard with a cracked sense of humor. The only way to defeat this wacky wiseguy is for Captain N to beat him at his own game -- Tetris!

#17 - A Tale of Two Dogs
Season 3 - Episode 5 - Aired 10/12/1991
Mega rat Dr. Wiley pretends to reform his evil ways to steal Dr. Right's new peace-keeping robot. To distract Captain N and Megaman from his plot to takeover Megaland, the wily doc dog-naps Duke and Megaman's robot hound. Warping to the rescue, our two heroes land in turtle soup, and it's a dogfight getting out.

#18 - Battle of the Baseball Know-It-Alls
Season 3 - Episode 6 - Aired 10/19/1991
Mother Brain, Eggplant Wizard and King Hippo warp the N-Team and Bo Jackson inside Baseball World, then move into the palace with Princess Lana as their unwilling lady-in-waiting. Unless Kevin and Bo can put aside their differences, they just might lose the battle to get home against a team of rebellious baseball equipment. And if they strike out, Videoland could be lost forever.

#19 - The Lost City of Kongoland

The N Team travels to Kongoland to stop Mother Brain from getting a priceless artifact. But when Lana crosses paths with the artifact, she becomes an even deadlier foe than Mother Brain.

#25 - Happy Birthday, Mega Man
Season 1 - Episode 13 - Aired 12/2/1989
It's Mega Man's birthday, but he's upset because he's not human. Then he finds out about the Warp of Life. He must pass the Three Challenges. He, the N Team, and Dr. Light set off, accompanied by another Dr. Light creation, Mega Girl. Mega Man passes the Three Challenges, after numerous instances of the N Team insisting that they turn back. Mega Man goes through the Warp of Life and becomes human. He then finds out that the N Team was playing along with the Warp of Life all along. They wanted to see if Mega Man really had what it takes to pass the Three Challenges. Mega Man also finds out that Roll already passed the Three Challenges, and she's alive also. Before they leave, the Warp of Life wishes Mega Man a Happy Birthday!
