The genesis of Baby Blues comes from the award-winning, internationally syndicated comic strip of the same name. The series expands the world seen in the strip and offers stories for the whole family, exposing the humorous underbelly of suburban parenting. Set in a slice of suburbia on the outskirts of normal, this irreverent new series follows the daily exploits of Darryl (voiced by Mike O'Malley, 28 Days, [movie]Deep Impact) and Wanda (voiced by Julia Sweeney, Saturday Night Live, God Said Ha!) MacPherson. A career couple in their late 20s recently transformed into two well-intentioned but weary young parents, Darryl and Wanda are dealing with the dual pressures of their new little bundle of joy, Zoe, and the dysfunctional family living next door. Baby Blues amplifies the comic strip's world by adding their mismatched fence neighbors, Carl (voiced by Joel Murray, Dharma & Greg/show]) and Melinda (voiced by Arabella Field, Godzilla) Bitterman, who serve as a shining example of ho
#1 - The Bad Family
Season 2 - Episode 2 - Aired 1/27/2002
As Easter nears, Darryl wishes the Bittermans would move out, as he considers them the neighborhood's bad family. The Bittermans, meanwhile, have the same opinion of them, after first catching Wanda apparently hammered while holding Zoe in one hand and a jug of whiskey in the other (in reality, she and Darryl were responsibly dumping it down the drain), then Darryl apparently peeping on them from up in his tree (in reality, he's organizing the easter egg hunt this year, and was looking for good hiding places). The Bittermans gossip to Rex and Josie about the drunk and the peeping tom. Soon, these and other untruthful stories have spread, and no one will give the MacPhersons the time of day. Darryl and Wanda begin to panic when the block holds a secret town meeting and doesn't invite them. After they get caught red handed in the act of hiding easter eggs, and Mrs. Johnson removes Darryl from the egg hunt committee, Darryl and Wanda decide to play dirty -- if everybody thinks they're a b
#2 - Teddy-Cam
Season 2 - Episode 3 - Aired 2/3/2002
Darryl turns to Carl for assistance after he and Wanda return home to find Bizzy hanging out with her juvenile delinquent boyfriend, Johnny. A wiz with security cameras, Carl has every room in his house wired, allowing him to spy on his family from inside a secret central intelligency agency he built in his basement. Darryl doesn't have a secret room, so Carl gives him a teddy bear with a hidden cam located in its eye. Meanwhile, when Wanda gives Bizzy a ride to a trendy club, she realizes just how far out of the loop she's gotten since she had Zoe. In an attempt to get hip again, Wanda hires Bizzy to come over a few extra nights a week, hoping Bizzy's influence will rub off. Darryl decides to use the opportunity to test Carl's Teddy-Cam, and check out what Bizzy and Johnny are doing when she's supposed to be watching Zoe. Darryl is at first relieved when he views the first night's tape, showing Bizzy blowing off Johnny to take care of Zoe -- until Wanda comes home and starts flirting

#5 - Wanda Proof
Season 2 - Episode 1 - Aired 1/20/2002
Being a brand-new father turns Darryl into a worrywart. Wanda confesses to Bizzy that she's been lying to Darryl in regards to Zoe, because he thinks she's an irresponsible mother. Perhaps rightfully so, since Zoe rolls off the changing table while the two are talking. Wanda rushes Zoe to Dr. Gruber to get stitches in her head, and Darryl learns the truth when he arrives at the hospital later. Since Wanda never read ""Changing Table Safety,"" Darryl decides to make the house more 'Wanda proof' -- er, baby proof -- by hiring baby-proofer Mr. Saunders to inspect their house and see what's unsafe. Everything apparently. So, following Saunders' advice, the MacPhersons turn their home into a safe haven, complete with a padded cell nursery for Zoe. Wanda thinks Darryl's overdoing it, but soon sees maybe he isn't when she takes Zoe's temperature rectally with a mercury thermometer, and the tip breaks off. So it's back to the emergency room. Dr. Gruber gets the tip out and says Zoe will be fine,
