#1 - Ah, Money, Money! How Many Sad Things Must Occur in This World Due to Money?
Day Break Illusion - Season 1 - Episode 5
Ginka's father Yataro, who helps fund Sephiro Fiore's operations as thanks for helping his family out when they were in debt, comes to visit and invites the girls to a fancy party. Whilst there, Ginka and Yatarou hear about one of his old friends, Honda, who is facing financial struggles and is now in debt to loan sharks. That night, as Honda prepares to commit suicide, Cerebrum, this time taking the form of a young girl, gives Honda a Diabolos Tarot card that he uses to kill the loan sharks and escape his debt. The next evening, the silver-haired person instructs Honda to kill Yataro for possessing the Elemental Tarot user's blood, sending a wave of environmental hazards to attack him, but Akari and the others arrive to help him. Learning that the Daemonia is Honda, Ginka uses Akari's link to hear his thoughts, lamenting his weak heart. Realizing the only thing she can do for him is let him rest in peace, Ginka destroys the Daemonia. Being the only one left who remembers Honda, Ginka sympathizes with Akari's concerns.

Sorata suggests that she move into the cheaper Sakura Dormitory and Nanami agrees. After arriving at Sakura, Nanami insists that she be the one to take care of Mashiro and encounters a lot of troubles when she tries to do so. Sorata takes advantage of the extra time to work on a game to submit to a competition, but after asking Ryūnosuke's opinion on his work, discovers that he has a long way to go. That night, Sorata leaves his room to find Nanami asleep at a table and gets into an argument about how she works too much.

As the water level rapidly increases, Kinji tries his best to pick the locks and free Hotogi as she asks him to leave her behind so he wouldn’t be killed. When a wave fills up the room, Kinji uses his last resort and kisses Hotogi in order to ‘summon’ his badass side. Aftering freeing her, they get swept off separating the two. Kinji returns to the surface where he finds Hotogi, who however is actually Durandal who had successfully tricked Aria, putting her at risk. The real Hotogi shows up and confronts Durandal where as she demands that she will fight herself and use a forbidden technique.
