Jo and Ben set about the task of convincing him to talk to his mother about it. But he refuses and throws himself further into his work, which pays off when he discovers there is something suspicious about both the kidnapping and the murder and Jo has to agree there are too many coincidences. But when PJ solves the case and sees a son and mother reunited he decides to be with his mother until the end and to share her pain.
