Reg is playing with a train set before going out. He is looking for a place to live as he is moving out of the section house but ends up moving to a different corridor instead. Greig and Tosh investigates a stabbing in a station car park. The case is being dropped but Greig goes to see the widow and finds a new lead. June and Reg act as back up to bailiffs trying to evict a family. The case is turned over to Tosh.

CID think they might be part of a gang knocking off car stereos. The fathers have a fight in custody after their children were interviewed.

The Bill - Season 8 - Episode 84
Burnside talks to a snout in a bus queue about a delivery. Woods and Carver observe the delivery and CID raid the premises. The cartons contain bricks and motor parts instead of the stolen goods expected. Burnside goes to a promotions board and is passed over.

Sgt. Cryer is angry at DC Webb's couldn't-care-less attitude towards a body found on a roundabout, so sets about identifying the man himself.

PC Nick Klein becomes involved when Kosovan refugees housed at a council estate are being harassed and attacked. Later, at a family gathering, Nick's cousin Jerry arrives and is praised by the family for his success. DC Webb investigates a robbery at a clothing factory, and his investigations lead him to Norman Klein, Nick's uncle. The link between the latest robbery and a previous one is revealed to be Jerry Klein who assessed security at both places. When Jerry is found badly beaten, Nick decides he must tell the police about his cousin's possible involvement, which results in DI Cullen catching the gang on their third job.

The Bill - Season 17 - Episode 51
Hayward breaks down during a talk with primary school pupils, when he is forced to talk about the death of his sister. Gilmore is not happy, but the teacher thinks Hayward's sensitivity will help the students get the message, and may also help them trust Hayward enough to report a bully. An old friend of his sister's asks him out, although when he meets her at a gallery opening, Hayward thinks her friends are dealing drugs. Klein and Hayward find the bully, "Red", who has been using two fierce dogs to steal money and mobile phones from school children. They trace the dogs to the flat of drug-addicted prostitute Stacy Dodds, and a search of her flat uncovers a large stash of heroin.

The Bill - Season 17 - Episode 52
Hayward and Klein arrange to get their stories straight over the missing bag of heroin. Stacy insists her pimp forced her to deal drugs and have sex with "Red". Clarke ends up sleeping with "Phil the Pill", and is surprised when he turns up at Sun Hill the next day and announces himself as DC Phil Raven from the Drugs Squad. Raven arrests Benji Pullinger for intent to supply, but inevitably the missing bag is mentioned in the interview. Station gossip starts to point towards Klein, and Hayward confesses to Gilmore what really happened. While out at a nightclub with his new girlfriend, Fiona, Hayward sees Raven selling drugs, and discovers that he and Fiona are former acquaintances.
#8 - Paint it Black
The Bill - Season 17 - Episode 53
With Klein's help, Hayward tries to set up a sting to catch Raven in the act, by offering to sell him the missing bag of heroin. They decide to meet in a car park, and Hayward, carrying a bag full of baking soda, is surprised when the tables are turned on him and Raven arrests him for possession. Klein's doubts about an unstable Hayward seem to be justified when his friend puts his life in the hands of Raven, and the undercover cop begins to show his unconventional methods. Meanwhile, back at the station, suspicions begin to grow about Hayward's innocence, and the relief are flabbergasted when they discover that Hayward has been arrested for possession with intent to supply.

Lines and Carver catch some lads changing number plates on a car. An ex-special who gave the tip off caused one of the villains to break his nose. It turns out he has been collecting his dead wife's social. He gives them some more info about a possible burglary but it turns out to be a man visiting his married girlfriend.

Tony and Reg are called to a stabbing in canley fields. Sgt. Cryer and June arrive to help. the victim is DOA at the hospital. The doctor thinks he was attacked 3 hours previously. D.S. Morgan goes to see the victim's mother and discovers she is blind. When the mother checks the body, she discovers it is not her son. Alan talks to a shopkeeper who saw a group of men chasing another one. tosh talks to the party thrower and finds a leather jacket similar ro the one on the body. The wallet inside belongs to the owner of an incorrectly parked mini who never came home the night before.

The Bill - Season 15 - Episode 54
PC Cass Rickman calls in sick after over-indulging at a barbecue for the relief the previous night. PC Harker and PC Stamp are called to the Sun Hill Lido swimming pool, where a young girl's body has been found in the water. Harker goes undercover at the pool.

Burnside is in court giving evidence. Because of flooding at the prison, the prisoners are brought back to Sunhill. Burnside's prisoner is in emotional shock and is taken to a mental health unit. He gives Barry and George the slip after a visit to the toilet. Ackland investigates thefts of drugs at a health clinic. June tries to find out why the thief stole the drugs. They were for the thief's son.

Investigating a noise, he meets a young woman called Cathy, who turns out to have been on of the killer's victims. A skeptical Stanton reveals how a psychic's assistance with a case she worked on turned out to be a hoax. Lennox, when he was in the Glasgow police, meets a dying crime boss who promises revenge from beyond the grave.

Meanwhile Special Constable Terry Knowles and PC Nick Klein have arrested petty thief Derek Daly. As they head back for the station Knowles spots an attractive blonde in a car and persuades Klein to pull her over when she jumps a red light. Confident that he can get her phone number (like his hero Taviner would), Knowles approaches the blonde with a smile. Flirting outrageously he tries to get a date but with little success. When he threatens to do a vehicle check, the girl smiles sweetly, produces a steel-comb and thrusts it into his neck.

The Bill - Season 18 - Episode 2
Sergeant Craig Gilmore addresses the congregation at Knowles' funeral and mentions the dead man's habit of chatting up girls which causes a bit of a stir. After the service Superintendent Tom Chandler tries to comfort Knowles' mother but is dragged away by her daughter Tina who blames the police for her brother's death. Meanwhile at Sun Hill DS Vik Singh and DCI Jack Meadows are liaising with Jay Ramsay who is planning to direct a reconstruction of the murder for a TV programme. Meadows is angry when the Director comments about Knowles flirting with the murderer before his death. Outside the chapel PC Nick Klein is helping a young woman with a pushchair and is shocked when she introduces herself as Dani Knowles, Knowles' widow. When she asks about Knowles' death, Klein tells her not to believe the press reports. As the drink flows at the wake the tensions rise between arch enemies Taviner and Gilmore resulting in a full-blown punch up.

When cocky new DS Phil Hunter reports for duty he wastes no time bringing in arrests. He flirts with wives of suspects and doesn't play by any of the rules.
