In her gambling addiction, LKA officer Laura Wagner has developed a dangerous device that disables vehicles using electromagnetic impulses (EPW). When she is chasing the mafia courier Enrico Serpente on the highway with a suitcase full of money, she uses the device and causes a serious accident in which she steals the suitcase. Tom and Semir initially investigate the case, but assume it was a random accident. But they discover that this is already the third incident in which vehicle electronics have been destroyed and that Serpente works for the mafia boss Alesso Corto. Tom and Semir are getting closer and closer to the truth and learn from the FBI that it is a deliberately deployed electromagnetic device.

The antique dealer Samuel Breuberg is robbed. The perpetrators are after dollar printing plates that Breuberg is smuggling. During the wild chase, Breuberg has a fatal accident in his car. Before Tom and Semir can make any further progress with their investigation, the gangsters hijack a courier company van in which they suspect the printing plates are. But the load only contains the front of the printing plates. The back is hidden in a later delivery. Gabriel plans to rob the second van. But the gangsters get a nasty surprise. Because Tom and Semir have been tipped off and are proving their special skills as courier drivers...

Instead, the badly injured driver Grischek pointed a gun at Schumann and forced him to flee with him. When Grischek dies in Schumann's house, Schumann senses his big chance: Grischek has a suitcase full of money with him. Schumann just has to make the body disappear and convince his daughter Julia, who witnessed the incident, to keep the police out of the picture. Tom and Semir soon discover the body of Grischek's partner in the trunk of the crashed car. They find out that the crook duo stole the proceeds from a brothel. The brothel owner van Cleef and his right-hand man Draschko are also looking for the unknown man who must have taken Grischek from the scene of the accident. Who finds Schumann first?

Jan und Semir helfen einer attraktiven jungen Frau, deren Auto auf der Autobahn eine Panne hat. Als Jan im Auto der Frau eine Waffe entdeckt, flüchtet die junge Frau mit ihrem Wagen. Die Polizei startet die Verfolgungsjagd – unterstützt von Bonrath und Herzberger, in deren Auto auch Elfriede, Herzbergers Mutter, sitzt – doch nach einem Unfall versteckt sich die junge Frau und kann der Polizei entkommen. Elfriede, die sich voller Aufregung und Neugier am Tatort umsieht, steckt versehentlich einige Dokumente aus dem Fahrzeug ein.
