Old-time superhero Space Ghost has retired from the life-saving business and recruited his (imprisoned) nemesises Zorak and Moltar to assist him in his new life: as a late night talk show host. With his co-host and former villian Zorak, and his director Moltar they interview celebs on earth through their intergalactic video phone.

Season 5 - Episode 5 - Aired 9/4/1998
Space Ghost grows angry upon learning that he has been 'imposternated' on Warren's television program, so he goes with Moltar and Zorak to confront him. Warren is actually a very bitter bush. We then meet an evil replica of Space Ghost, or is it Gary Owens... Note: The premiere airing was an extended edit in which the same events played out three times in a row, running for 35 minutes without commercial breaks. The shorter, 12 minute version was first aired on September 6, 1998. The longer version was later released on "The 1998 Episodes" DVD.

Space Ghost announces he is dying and begins to look for someone to replace him. To confirm the grim prognosis, Dr. Drew Pinsky appears on the show. Zorak becomes excited and begins playing New Orleans jazz, which gets him zapped.

#5 - Chinatown
Season 5 - Episode 7 - Aired 9/11/1998
This one starts out with the credits running early. There is a dog for a director, and Zorak plays the organ bag. Space Ghost blasts him. Moltar is at the ballpark, and there is talk about ""ra for Re"" (The Sun God?), and a guy named Roger is mentioned. Space Ghost interrupts Tyra because Zorak messed up the note cards. Zorak sings a crime song, and talks about hot chicks. We then find out that Moltar is at a foreign ballgame. The dog is in the ship, where there is loud music. They take the dog and trade for Moltar, and the crowd hoorays.

Space Ghost attempts to take Ghost Planet to the United States, and consequently focuses the show on various aspects of America. Zorak fools Space Ghost into thinking that his mantis droppings are his children.

Pursuing a movie career, Space Ghost seeks advice from the director of 'Mall Rats,' Kevin Smith, and actor Ben Stiller. Hollywood director Jim Jarmusch also makes an appearance.

After Space Ghost declares his love for Merill Markoe, he receives advice from Adam Corolla. Knowing Space Ghost is smitten, Zorak begins to do everything in his power to win Merrill Markoe as his own, leading to a battle between the two.

Space Ghost is the target of a lawsuit filed against him by former co-stars Jan and Jace. The twins employ the services of the infamous Dr. Nightmare to represent their case. Space Ghost acquires attorney Greta Van Susteren.
