Fernando Torres scored a hat-trick in Chelsea's 6-1 triumph in April 2012. Liverpool entertain Sunderland, who have provided dogged resistance at Anfield during the Premier League era, drawing six of 11 total matches, including each of their last two visits. Everton travel to St James' Park in the day's other game to take on Newcastle. The Toffees had recorded just one win on their last 10 trips to Tyneside. There is also another chance to see all of the goals from Tuesday's games.

Last season's runners-up Tottenham travelled to newly promoted Newcastle, whose manager Rafael Benitez will be looking for a repeat of the extraordinary 5-1 win at St James's Park in 2016. Manchester United entertain West Ham at Old Trafford, where the visitors haven't won in the Premier League since Carlos Tevez gave them a 1-0 victory in 2007.

The day's other match came on the south coast, where Eddie Howe's Bournemouth hosted Liverpool. The Cherries won the corresponding fixture 4-3 last season in a thriller.
