As he leaves school, Sara appears before him and demands him to go out with Sōju and separate himself from the other twins.

Yui, in line with Zeus' attempt to model the school after human schools, decides to introduce club activities, something that Thoth decides to make compulsory as well. While everyone is excited and interested, Hades refuses to participate in group activities. Yui later finds out that while Hades is constantly gloomy and introverted, he enjoys stargazing. Despite his claims that misfortune will befall her if she gets too close, Yui refuses to leave him alone, especially after he saves her from drowning. From Apollon and Dionysus, she makes Hades' favourite strawberry rice cakes to cheer him up, prompting him to reveal a hideous tattoo on his upper chest caused from the grudges of many that regret their deaths -- the cause of misfortune. As he once again rejects her, Yui believes that he is looking out for everyone's sake by isolating himself, and determines to make him happy.

Hiyakawa can't understand what Mikado is feeling. And for his part, while Mikado recognizes how deviant Hiyakawa is, he just can't cut ties with him. In the middle of all this, Mikado is as good as kidnapped by Sakaki and taken to Erika in a car. Erika asks a bewildered Mikado for help with her homework, as though the situation were quite normal. As Erika works on her homework, she tells Mikado about the mysterious man who employs her and about how her powers awakened.

#13 - The Eternal Parting of Ways
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 12
Balder awakens as the God of Destruction and the universe starts to collapse with the immensity of power. The remaining gods have their shackles broken through human acts of emotion in the midst of chaos and transform to rescue their friend. Zeus dissolves the spirit students as he attempts to use his power to keep the universe intact. Yui, wanting to help, uses the sword to absorb the knowledge and feelings contained within the chandelier's container, which is now full, and gives it to Loki. While Balder is saved, the universe is beginning to collapse despite Zeus channeling energy into it. The 8 gods make a decision to use their remaining power in returning Yui to her universe, each one thanking her for teaching them and Apollon confessing his love for her. Yui returns to her time at the exact same moment she left, and can now only look on the memories her new friends have given her.

On their way home that day, Mikado and Hiyakawa stop to eat and Hiura Erika appears before them. Erika reveals to the two of them that she is a curse peddler and a necromancer.

Thoth orders Yui to make Takeru, who has yet to join a club, do so. This proves difficult with his rough attitude and hostile temperament, until he notices her practising swordplay. Takeru, claiming that Yui is only wanting him to join a club so she can graduate and leave, decides to make a deal with her: if she can win, he will join a club willingly. Yui loses the duel, to which Takeru believes it is because she is weak at her training, unlike him that jobs every morning. She decides to follow him on his morning runs to train and hopefully gain a better understanding of him.
#20 - The Transient Daily Lives We Should Love
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 10
Despite not studying, the gods and Yui have faired pretty well on their exams, so Zeus gives them to "honour" of putting on a play for the rest of the students, who are spirits summoned by him. Per Yui's suggestion, they decide to enact the fairytale of Cinderella, with everyone competing for the main male part of the Prince until they draw lots. The play goes smoothly until Loki tries to stage a coup d'etat and Anubis Ma'at, the Egyptian God of the Dead, steals some of Dionysus' homemade juice and crashes into the stage. Despite the havoc wrecked, all the students appear to have enjoyed the play.

The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window - Season 1 - Episode 8
In order to learn more about Sensei's movements, Mikado and Hiyakawa make a plan to astral project into his house with the help of Mukae, Erika, and Sakaki. But they discover that Sensei's house was built on the site where the Palm of the Hand Research Society used to stand. Mikado recommends that they call off their plan out of concern for Hiyakawa, but Hiyakawa calmly replies "I won't remember. I never forgot."

#23 - The Dark Flower Withers in the Labyrinth
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 9
6 months have passed, and one fine day Thoth suddenly declares that mid-term exams are in 3 days, shocking Yui. They attempt to study together using Tsukito's perfect notes, but a Yui has been experiencing strange dreams of Apollon's past, while Apollon has been losing sleep as well. From the dreams, Yui finds out about a woman named Cassandra that Apollon loved so much to the point where he gave her a part of his divine power to see the future, until she committed suicide much to his anguish. Hades, knowing that Cassandra's spirit never entered the underworld, worries that she holds a grudge against Apollon and is wandering in the human world to haunt him. However, this proves to be the opposite as Cassandra possesses Yui's body to convey her true feelings to Apollon, freeing him from his long-term grief and breaking his shackle, allowing him to graduate. Everyone forgets about their exams until Tsukito reminds them, to which they have done no studying.

Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 8
Yui has been trying to avoid Balder and Loki after their argument. Despite Loki telling her to stay away from Balder for her own safety, the latter successfully takes her away and attempts to seduce her. When Loki finds them and Balder goes on a rampage. Knowing that there is no hiding it from Yui, he explains how Balder possesses an inborn power as a God of Destruction, which will be released when his emotions grow unstable, making him act differently, although he wakes up with no memories of it after. As the rest of the gods release lanterns into the sky, oblivious to what is happening, Loki tells Thor that he will kill Balder.
#25 - Chained in the Prison of Destiny
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 11
Balder collapses suddenly after the play. As Apollon and Yui visit him in the infirmary, they overhear Loki telling Thor about he will kill Balder, much to their shock. Loki explains that whenever there is light, there will also be darkness, which rests as an inborn power within Balder as the God of Destruction. When Balder awakens, he realises Loki's aims and accepts his death as a dangerous being. However, Loki is unable to do so, prompting Balder to jump off a cliff instead and commit suicide.

Kiss Him, Not Me - Season 1 - Episode 10
Mutsumi finds a hidden treasure map in the History Club room and invites everyone to go treasure hunting. Igarashi, Nanashima, Shinomiya and Nishina are less than thrilled about the idea, but after finding out Kae would be going alone with Mutsumi, they decide to go too. The four of them are confused by Mutsumi, because he treats Kae now the same way he always had. And so, they decide to ask him how he really feels.

Tsukito has been chosen as a disciplinary member, but because of his eagerness to fulfil his responsibilities, he loses sleep and faints. Thoth threatens him that if he does something like this again he will be suspended, making Tsukito extremely depressed and determined to find out the reason for his mistakes. In response, Loki mischievously gives Tsukito and Yui a pair of lovers' rings that glue their hands together, and is unremovable until they gain a deep understanding of each other's hearts. Both of them connect over preparing for a Moon-Viewing Festival, to which Tsukito reveals how he only fulfils his duties and never enjoys anything, much to Yui's horror. The rings finally break off when Tsukito admits that he found preparing things with her fun.
#29 - Dispute and Discord on the Sea Breeze
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 3
Thoth suddenly announces that tomorrow is summer vacation, as per Zeus' decision to change the season. Although several gods play truant, the others manage to arouse their interest in school by starting a seaside school, in hopes of showing them the fun side of school. The changing of the season again -- this time to autumn -- forces them to warm up in a nearby house instead. As Apollon tries to make seaside school fun even in autumn, Thor and Loki decide to leave, claiming that he has no right to order them around because he is a student as well. This prompts Yui to give him the title of 'Student Council President'. Apollon, pleased, finds the way to make seaside school fun by ending the night with fireworks purchased from the school store, which sells everything and anything.

Balder grows more attached to Yui because of her uniqueness in not being affected by his natural charisma as the Norse God of Light. As the season changes once again to winter, Yui and the gods decide to create a cultural festival based off Christmas, splitting into groups based on their heritage. Since Yui is Japanese, she has to work with the Japanese gods, much to Balder's jealousy. He drags her around with him everywhere, until Loki is absolutely frustrated, confronting his friend about a promise they made as children to always stay together no matter what, believing that Yui is coming between their friendship.

Nozomu invites Sōju and Sara to the culture festival. After Sara causes a ruckus at the spooky cafe Nozomu's class had put on, his classmates allow him to have the rest of the day off to get her out. Nozomu discovers that one of Sōju's pastel's is gone and searches the dumpster because Sōju's once told him that it was precious to her.

Normal high school girl Yui Kusanagi has been living a normal life in the shrine with her parents and brothers, until she stumbles upon a strange glowing sword in the store shed. By touching it, she is transported to another parallel world in the form of a school surrounded by beautiful gardens, with the sword miniaturised as a pendant around her neck. Zeus, the King of the Gods and maker of this universe, tells her that the bond between gods and humans, once intimate, have begun to weaken, which will only bring about disaster in the future. To avoid a terrible future, Zeus tasks Yui to teach the 8 gods gathered here in this school about the human heart.

After Azuna's death, Lindo takes Ritsuka to the Exorcist Association for protection. Meanwhile, Urie, Mage and Shiki realise that Ritsuka was the grimoire all along and they start to search for her. The Exorcist Association then betray Lindo's trust, by deciding to kill Ritsuka in order to get rid of the grimoire, but Lindo interferes. They also reveal to Ritsuka that her brother is actually a 'dhamphir'; half-human, half-vampire. Lindo escapes with his sister and they hide in a Japanese shrine while Urie, Mage and Shiki hold off their pursuers. While hiding, Lindo reveals to Ritsuka that they are not siblings; but cousins. His father was a vampire, and his real mother is actually their deceased maternal aunt, Marta. He then confesses to Ristuka that he is in-love with her and attempts to kiss her, only to be interrupted when Rem arrives. Assuming that Rem has come to obtain the grimoire, he and Rem decide to settle their matters once and for all in a battle using their powers. Rem injures Lindo and is about to finish him off until Ritsuka yells at him to stop. She tells Rem that she can no longer stand watching her close ones get hurt and killed just because he wants the grimoire. When Rem doesn't say anything, Ritsuka yells that she hates him and Lindo repels Rem with his magic. Rem leaves heartbroken while Ritsuka takes Lindo to Shikō Academy's infirmary to treat his wounds. She then decides to forget her feelings for Rem so she can protect her family. Meanwhile, Jek visits his master, Lord Nesta to tell him about the grimoire.

#40 - The Beautiful Spellbound Shackles
Kamigami no Asobi -Ludere deorum- - Season 1 - Episode 2
Yui meets the 8 gods: The Greek God of the Sun Apollon Agana Belea, The Greek God of the Underworld Hades Aidoneus, Greek God of Wine and Merrymaking Dionysus Thyrsos, Japanese God of the Moon Tsukito Totsuka, Japanese God of the Sea Takeru Totsuka, Norse God of Light Balder Hringhorni, Norse God of Fire Loki Laevatein, and Norse God of Thunder Thor Megingjard. Some of them are kind and friendly to her whilst some are hostile. Gathered in the hall, Zeus explains the situation to all of them, decreeing that they cannot leave this universe until they graduate, which can only be done so under two conditions: the container on the chandelier is filled to indicate their knowledge, and the jewellery shackles binding the gods' powers disintegrate of their own accord. Appointing Thoth Caduceus, the Egyptian God of Knowledge, as their teacher, school officially begins with the entrance ceremony.
#41 - Opera Ball of Endings and Beginnings
Dance with Devils - Season 1 - Episode 12
While the devils, Lindo and Loewen fight off the vampires, Jek takes Ritsuka back to Lord Nesta in order to continue the ceremony. Lord Nesta tries to bite Ritsuka again, but Loewen interferes allowing Ritsuka to escape and she is saved by Lindo who leaves her in Rem's care. Rem takes Ritsuka to a safe place, and while there, he hugs her, relieved she was safe. Lindo defeats Jek causing him to plummet and get impaled to death on a statue. Lord Nesta suddenly recognizes Lindo as his estranged son and hypnotizes him in order to make him his ally, but Lindo is quick to snap out of his spell and he stabs his father through the heart with his claws. Lord Nesta falls dead on the ground and the remaining vampires retreat. Ritsuka reunites with Lindo until Lord Nesta suddenly revives and gets up, causing the devils and Loewen to realise that Lord Nesta had hidden his 'real' heart elsewhere to prevent himself from dying. He attacks everyone by sending them flying into the walls, and Rem saves Ritsuka. Having had enough of her current situation, Ritsuka decides that she will protect everyone, and her determination activates the grimoire's powers. With the help of the grimoire, she is able to locate Lord Nesta's real heart which had been hidden in one of the statues, and she stabs it with the pair of scissors, ending Lord Nesta once and for all just as the grimoire's powers fade away. The devils also notice that the grimoire's scent no longer lingers. As they go outside, Rem is finally able to declare his love for Ritsuka which she happily accepts and rekindles. He then tells her with the grimoire gone, he has no need to remain in the human world and he asks her to live with him in the devil world. Ritsuka declines and they go their separate ways. Just before Rem disappears, he gives Ritsuka his crown from the evening party and they share a kiss as he fades away. Life returns to normal in the Tachibana family and Ritsuka wears Rem's crown around her neck at all times signifyin

Rem visits his father, who tells him to find the 'Forbidden Grimoire' as soon as he can if he doesn't want to shame his family's name. Meanwhile, Ritsuka finds Rem's pomeranian, Roen, in a department store while she and Azuna are shopping for materials for their school's cultural festival. She follows him to a park where he reveals his true form, the mysterious person whom she saw in the 'Third Library' (see Episode 4). He properly introduces himself as Roen which shocks Ritsuka. Roen reveals to her that he is a ceberus. He then offers to tell her more about the 'Forbidden Grimoire' and a portal appears behind him. Ritsuka is hesitant until she receives a phone call from Azuna, but she makes up an excuse then proceeds with Roen through the portal. They walk down an empty hallway and Roen reveals to Ritsuka that she is the 'Forbidden Grimoire'. The scent that wafts from her is the proof. He tells her that the powers of the grimoire will reveal itself on her seventeenth birthday. Roen tries to put Ritsuka to sleep until that time and attempts to persuade her to remove the ring Lindo gave her for protection. Ritsuka is about to remove the ring until Rem appears and stops her. He convinces her not to, then confronts Roen of his betrayal and attempts to attack him, but Roen takes Ritsuka hostage and threatens to kill her. He rips her uniform and digs his claws beneath her shirt and into her skin, but Ritsuka's ring repels him. Lindo appears and notices the wound Roen gave her, and thinking Rem was the one who attacked her, he goes into a rage and becomes monstrous. He tries to attack Rem, but Ritsuka intervenes and he claws the left side of her cheek. Rem manages to avert Lindo back to normal by asking him if he is also going to destroy Ritsuka. Lindo goes back to normal when he hears this and Rem leaves. Ritsuka and Lindo are then teleported back to the park where today's events began. Still in hiding, Roen says that he will definitely open the grimoire with Ristuka the

As the school prepares for the culture festival, Rem lies to the student council about the location of the grimoire, claiming it is in Vienna. Meanwhile, Lindo and Azuna decide to place Ritsuka under constant protection, with one of them accompanying her wherever she goes. As the festival gets underway, Urie, Mage, and Shiki all ask Ritsuka to be their partner in the dance, but she refuses. When the time for the evening party comes round, she and Rem are chosen as king and queen, and begin to dance despite the misgivings of Lindo and Azuna. As they dance, the two realize that they have feelings for each other. When the party is over, Ritsuka heads home accompanied by Azuna and her brother, when they are attacked by the vampires. Lindo is forced to transform, but Jek snatches Ritsuka. Azuna attempts to save her, slashing his cheek, and in his rage he impales her. Mage bursts in while Ritsuka is in class, kidnapping her and taking her to the Tokyo Tower. He threatens her in his true demonic form in an attempt to extract the location of the grimoire, but is repelled by her ring. He then attempts to seduce her into telling him by treating her to a meal, but she runs away. In a back alley, she is threatened by a gang of thugs, but Mage catches up with her, allowing her to escape while he fights the thugs, devouring their souls. As she runs, she is found by Rem, who brings her to a helipad to send her back home. Still believing that he helped her out of kindness, she confronts him, and he reluctantly admits that he only needs her as a pawn in his game for power. Mage then finds them, taking Ritsuka and escaping through a portal. In an attempt to cheer her up, he takes her to watch the sun set over the ocean, but accidentally drops her in the water when he becomes captivated by her smell. Passing through a portal again, they find Lindo waiting for them. Seeing that Ritsuka is soaking wet, his eyes become red and he goes into a rage, attacking Mage. The two battle with magic, forcing Ritsuka to jump between them. Ritsuka arrives at Lord Nesta's castle where she meets Lord Nesta for the first time. He reveals to her more about her family's past then has her taken away to be prepared for the ceremony. At Shikō Academy, the Student Council are wondering where Ritsuka is, until they are confronted by Lindo and Loewen. Loewen reveals to everyone that Ritsuka has gone to Lord Nesta's castle, prompting the devils and Lindo to go and save her. Rem is hesitant until Loewen gives him Ritsuka's crown as an encouragement, to which he declares as the "perfect checkmate", thus finally admitting his feelings for her. Meanwhile, Jek reveals his true colours to Ritsuka when she stubbornly presses him about the ceremony and refusing to comply if he doesn't explain. She is then brought before Lord Nesta whom she tries to attack with a pair of scissors she secretly brought along, but he hypnotizes her to comply. While under Lord Nesta's spell, her mind still works and she regrets her decision as she is led to the sacrificial tower. Just before Lord Nesta could bite her, Loewen interferes followed by the other devils and Lindo. Ritsuka happily rushes to them, but Jek grabs her and holds her at knife point with the pair of scissors.

Ritsuka finds Shiki in the school garden destroying thorned roses with his bare hands. She stops him and Shiki tells her that he was doing so because he thought that she might want to help him. Shiki reveals to Ristuka that he is a fallen angel. He suddenly tells her that he may know the whereabouts of her mother and he offers to take her there. Ristuka is hesitant, due to her previous encounters with the other members of the Student Council, until Azuna interferes. Shiki allows Azuna to accompany them. He takes the girls to a nearby art museum with many hallways like a maze. He disappears and Ritsuka gets separated from Azuna, becoming lost. While wandering around the museum, Ritsuka catches glimpses of her family's past until Shiki grabs her from behind. He tells her to become his, but Ritsuka pushes him away, prompting Shiki to use his powers to freeze her. He threatens to kill her if she doesn't comply, but Azuna intervenes by repelling him with a capsule of holy water. She attempts to exorcise him, but Shiki reveals that he can't be exorcised due to the angel blood within him. Black wings sprout from his back and he attacks the girls, wounding Azuna in the process. As he is about to kill her, Ritsuka convinces him to stop, and he teleports them back to the school garden where they first met. As Shiki begins to leave, Ritsuka asks him if he lied about knowing where her mother is, but he only replies by saying that lies are truth before disappearing.
