However data on an event at Nanahoshi Village and the Gastrea War Outbreak remain locked until they gain higher security clearance. At the same time, the Monolith's degradation finally reaches the public eye and Seitenshi calls a press conference to appease the public's unrest. Rentaro and Enju later try looking for more squad members at the adjuvant encampment and discover a suspiciously murdered Promoter. Rentaro then reunites with, and recruits his longtime friend, Promoter Shoma Nagisawa and his Initiator, Midori Fuse. Kisara later shows up and along with Tina, also join Rentaro's squad much to the latter's protest. Afterwards Commander Nagamasa Gedo rallies the camp and explains their strategy to support the JASDF. However Rentaro upsets Nagamasa when he questions the plan and trust of the JASDF. Finally, Rentaro and his newly formed squad prepare themselves for the upcoming battle to defend the Tokyo Area.

With three days to go before Monolith 32's collapse, Rentaro and Kisara continue tutoring Matsuzaki's Cursed Children, taking them to visit the Flames of Revolution memorial site where they show their affection for Rentaro. Later that night, Rentaro and Kisara investigate the crumbling Monolith 32 and ponder on why it was specifically targeted by the Aldebaran Gastrea, with Kisara deciding to conduct further research on it. The next day the Tokyo Area's population begins evacuating into underground shelters via lottery, and the remaining public's tension against the Cursed Children only escalates further, forcing Rentaro to rescue the blind Cursed Child from an angry mob. Back at the camp, Kisara and Rentaro are left in shock after learning that Monolith 32 was privately commissioned by Kazumitsu Tendo. The next day, Rentaro and Enju horrifically discover that the other Cursed Children had been killed when a bomb was deliberately dropped on the school. This sends Rentaro into a depression and he vents his frustration on Kisara by arguing against the corrupt strata of their society. Suddenly, the winds knock Monolith 32 to the ground a day early, leaving everyone with no time for grief due to the imminent Gastrea invasion.

Youko and Shiho follow Asahi and Nagisa around to watch what they do together. Asahi, tying to make the atmosphere less awkward, invites Nagisa to play at the shooting gallery. Youko becomes flustered while watching the two of them play, and loses track of where they went. Soon after, Mikan shows up with her two little brothers and helps the two of them look for Asahi and Nagisa. Soon after they find the two of them, Nagisa trips and falls onto Asahi, then realizing her love for him!

Early one morning, Tina asks to meet up with Rentaro. Afterwards Tina's employer informs her of Seitenshi's next meeting and names Kisara as the next target in order to remove the Tendo Security Agency from the equation. Rentaro later meets up with his sponsor, Miori Shiba who warns him about the sniper's high skill level after which he has her research Sogen as a prime suspect in the assassination attempt. Sumaire later summons Rentaro and Enju and reveals more information about the New Humanity Creation Plan including the likelihood that Rentaro may find himself faced with highly ranked mechanized soldiers should he start pursuing his origins. Elsewhere, Tina appears before Kisara at the Tendo headquarters and attempts to kill her. However Rentaro arrives and stops Tina's attempt, with both shocked to see the other before Tina escapes. Afterwards, Rentaro escorts Seitenshi to another meeting and barely manages to protect her when Tina makes another assassination attempt. As Enju volunteers to go after Tina herself, Seitenshi quickly informs Rentaro about Enju's disadvantage due to Tina's mechanization and high 97th rank. Finally when Rentaro tries calling Enju, Tina answers her phone much to his horror.

Asahi finds out he has to retake a cooking class, having missed the previous one. He is delighted to find out that Yōko, Nagisa, and Shiho are joining him in making curry, but soon finds out that all three girls have trouble making it. Nagisa's directions lead her to make a chocolate cake, which is accidentally tossed out a nearby window where Akane catches it with her horn. After taking a bite, she falls in love with it. Mikan decides to buy Akane lots of snacks in hopes of getting an interview with her, but Akane slips away until Akari appears to wrangle her back to the home economics room. However, both women are sickened to find that Yōko and Nagisa got too enthusiastic and added something to the curry that causes it to spew poison gas. Later that night, Akane breaks down the wall of Akari's apartment and demands that she get Nagisa to make more chocolate for her. When Akari refuses, Akane responds by magically steering an asteroid towards Earth, threatening to destroy the planet. Yōko, Nagisa, and Shiho reunite to make chocolate in the same room, but Akari discovers that the asteroid veers off course when Akane loses concentration, so she ties her down to a chair and force-feeds her chocolates made by everyone except Nagisa. Even as Akane tries copying herself to reach Nagisa's chocolate, the other girls manage to fight Akane's clones off until she loses enough focus that Nagisa's comrades in outer space force the asteroid to make a U-turn, saving Earth from destruction.

High School Star Musical - Season 2 - Episode 11
With only a few days left until the graduation celebration performance the final details begin to fall into place. Thanks to Hiragi's prior encouragement and the support of all the treasured items from his friends, Hoshitani has found the confidence to step into the role of Lambert and go after his dream. Spirits are high during dress rehearsal and the stage is set for an amazing performance. Hoshitani has fallen into the trap room and injured his shoulder; yet, even in pain, he still wishes to continue on with the show despite the next scene involving a trying dance. Uozumi attempts to talk Hoshitani out of it ordering that Inumine go on in his place, however, once Inumine goes on stage, Hoshitani cannot take back the role. As Inumine readies himself to finish the play in Hoshitani's place, Ageha comes forward with a plan that would allow Hoshitani to go back out on stage, despite his injury. High School Star Musical - Season 3 - Episode 4
The plan of Hoshitani and the others to go on strike backfires, and, as a precaution, the Kao Council separates Team Hiragi from their friends. At a loss of what to do, the remaining company members are left feeling dejected, so Hoshitani takes off to go see the isolated Team Hiragi and his friends hear nothing else from him for the rest of the day. Meanwhile, within the monolithic Kao Council, Kasugano can't shake the sense of unease that he feels. He finds his attention drawn to Shiki, who is working extra hard in his position as leader.

#48 - Act 5
High School Star Musical - Season 3 - Episode 5
Still unable to get permission to perform in Opening Ceremony and now facing the prospect that they will be excluded from the Ayanagi Festival all together, Hoshitani and the others try to at least get their class performance time slot back. However, through their exchanges with Irinatsu and Kasugano, positive feelings for wanting to be acknowledged by the Kao Council have begun to emerge in the group. Though others, such as Nanjo, voice their doubts and a past relationship between him and Fuyusawa lead the others to wonder where Nanjo's loyalties really lie.

After Shiki appeared and said he will listen to what they have to say, Hoshitani can't help feeling somewhat nervous. Meanwhile, Shiki holds true to his promise to consider expanding the number of performers for Opening Ceremony. A meeting between the five members of the Kao Council takes place to discuss the matter.

With Shiki's persuasion, the Kao Council decides to expand the number of performers for Opening Ceremony. Once again back to a 14-person company, Hoshitani and the others devote themselves to practice. Meanwhile, a slight rift is beginning to form between Shiki, who agreed to the second-years' request, and Fuyusawa, who is determined to avoid any risk of failure. The difference between their goals, ideals, and feelings becomes increasingly clear.
