Malloy and Reed search a neighborhood for a missing young girl wearing a red sweater. During the canvassing of the neighborhood, Malloy & Reed go door-to-door asking residents if they've seen the girl. While questioning one of the residents, Malloy looks past the resident into the house & spots the girl's sweater on a sofa. A chase ensues with Malloy eventually catching the suspect, but when the suspect speaks tauntingly, Malloy loses his cool and roughs him up, and the suspect files a complaint for excessive force. Malloy realizes he now has to face disciplinary action for that one moment of rage.
