When an old friend of Meadows' reveals that George Stubbs had previously bribed Chandler's DS at Park Rise, Meadows realises he has some ammunition against Chandler. Meanwhile Sgt. Boyden and PC Hagen help PC Roz Clarke recover her ASP when it is stolen while pursuing a robbery suspect.

During his interview, Stubbs makes an allegation of corruption against Supt. Chandler. Before he calls in CIB, DI Cullen convinces Meadows he's only been told half the story.

Acting DI Sam Nixon hustles Abigail and Glenn Weston into the station as reporter Dougie Pritchard approaches with a camera. Nixon wants Abi to have nothing to do with Weston, but he is insistent, and she agrees to meet with him to discuss terms. DS Phil Hunter uses Nixon's personal crisis to go over her head to DCI Jack Meadows to approve surveillance on Sid Wright, a security guard he believes is involved in the armed hold-up. Hunter's persistance pays off when it transpires Wright is planning a raid on the Metropolitan Police warehouse, and DC Ken Drummond is hastily drafted back into his undercover security guard persona. New PC Gabriel Kent starts at Sun Hill, but despite his age and ambition, his ""puppywalker"" PC Tony Stamp shows no mercy from the usual jokes played on probationers. PC Des Taviner confronts Sgt Sheelagh Murphy with his feelings for her, and despite her initial objections, the two end up going home together.

DC Ken Drummond's attempts to gain the confidence of Sid Wright are getting nowhere, but Drummond literally plays his last hand when he follows Wright and gatecrashes a private poker game between Wright and the Fosters. A drunken brawl outisde a pub turns nasty when Sgt Sheelagh Murphy finds a boy beaten badly on the street. Feeling guilty at having let the suspects off with a warning earlier, Murphy tackles the case on her own rather than handing it over to CID. After their night of passion, a smitten PC Des Taviner will do anything for her - but Murphy's doubts and guilt over their affair could put a crimp in Taviner's ardour. Acting DI Samantha Nixon reluctantly organises a meeting between her daughter Abigail and Abi's father, Glenn Weston, but it all goes horribly wrong when the father of the child Weston murdered arrives and attacks him in front of waiting press cameras. Becker regrets her attempts to help out her married lesbian lover after her husband vows to get his revenge. After being taken to an empty house which is under construction, Becker suspects that Gavin's motives may involve the same treatment which he gave to his wife. McAllister manages to track down her missing colleague, and the pair manage to overpower him and take him into custody. Meanwhile, Smithy and Young are in pursuit of a drug dealer, when the suspect runs straight into the path of McAllister's oncoming car. When McAllister goes to check on Gavin, he escapes her clutches and leads her and Becker to a warehouse. The pair soon face an investigation when Gavin falls to his death.

PI Sally Johnson questions new PC Yvonne Hemingway about Danny Glaze and Des Taviner, but as she is new, she doesn't know them. Danny Glaze is long gone, as DCI Meadows discovers when he receives Glaze's warrant card in the post. Hemingway and Klein find a teenage girl being harrassed, and when a cyclist is hit by a stolen car during a chase with police, the prime suspect is one of the girl gang - Beth Tyler - the reluctant witness in a rape case several months previously. PC Des Taviner is devestated when he fails to revive a baby who appears to have died of SIDS, and Sgt. Sheelagh Murphy admits she is pregnant with his baby. DC Rob Thatcher notches up his first conquest at Sun Hill - PC Cathy Bradford, who is shocked when Polly Page's boyfriend Max proposes to her.

The Bill - Season 19 - Episode 84

With the guilt of what he has done weighing heavily on his mind, PC Des Taviner admits to Sgt. Sheelagh Murphy his part in the Sun Hill fire which killed six of his colleagues. To his horror, Murphy demands he turn himself in or she will do it for him. Instead, she calls her husband Patrick and admits her affair, saying she is leaving him for Des. Alan Best tells Insp. Gina Gold that a big heroin deal is about to go down at the garage where he works, so CID set up an obbo. They don't count on PC Gary Best turning up at the garage in full uniform and a panda car to apologise to his dad for assaulting him. When the dealer pulls a gun, DS McAllister calls for a Trojan unit, but when the gunman takes aim at Gary, his dad offers himself as a hostage in his place. PC Taviner becomes obsessed with finding a mugger responsible for the death of an elderly woman who dies of shock after her husband is stabbed. Hearing that Sgt. #19 - Devastation & Remorse

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 8

Murphy is rushed to hospital, where she comes to terms with the loss of her daughter - and her anguish is only compounded by the awful suspicion that Taviner may have had a hand in the tragedy. Tait blames himself for the baby's death, and guilt-ridden, gets dangerously drunk, seeing solace in the arms of none other than Young - but his night soon results in an unexpected visit to casualty. Stamp and Harman arrest a retired villain for assaulting his future daughter-in-law, however, it soon transpires that there is much more to the case than first meets the eye. Manson muscles in and pulls rank on an angry Sharpe after she tries to go above his head and authorise an operation through Meadows.

Tait and Young go in pursuit of a gang of teenage girls who have been shoplifting. When they become separated, Tait is cornered by the gang, who subsequently strip him and spray a suspicious substance in his face. Tait arrives back at the yard half dressed, much to the happiness of his female colleagues. Meanwhile, Carver finds a copy of Kent's birth certificate, and struggles over whether or not to inform Ackland. Murphy is devastated to discover an operation has been mounted to catch Taviner at their daughter's funeral, and believing Taviner's right to see his daughter, tries to inform him of the operation before he is arrested. When Ackland offers her a shoulder to cry on, she rebuffs her.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 12

Nixon and Manson investigate a cigarette smuggling operation, but the pair come to blows when Nixon tries to exert her authority over the situation, and a furious Manson is forced to pull rank on the former acting detective inspector. Carver, unable to hide the truth any longer, confronts Ackland and informs her that her lover Kent is actually none other than her long-lost son. But does she believe him enough to stop her relationship with him? Knowing that he has been set up, Taviner pays Murphy another visit - only to end up holding her and Tait hostage to keep them quiet over his escape, however Taviner realises it is just a matter of time before his colleagues come looking for them.

#22 - A Time and A Place (Part Two)

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 29

Young is found injured but alive in the rubble after the explosion behind the bank, but the bank manager is killed in the blast. As Nixon investigates the aftermath, there is considerable question over where the blame will lie. Tait begs Young not to reveal that they were arguing when the bomb went off, but he later reveals this to Nixon, as well as telling her about Young's accusation of rape against Smithy. Smithy comes under scrutiny as he was in charge of the operation, and Dunbar admits that she told Louise Willets that the bomb was a fake. Under pressure from her editor, Dunbar attempts to keep him sweet with the date rape story, which is now the talk of the station. Kent steals some CCTV footage.

#23 - An Unwanted Death

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 90

DI Morrell arrives to investigate the death of the Sun Hill sniper. Kent tries to convince Steve to tell MIT that Gabriel tried to save him but let go, as opposed to Gabriel deliberately dropping him from the balcony. After a short pursuit, Yvonne's friend, Shirley Moss, is involved in a car crash. The driver is killed for not wearing a seatbelt, and Shirley breaks her legs. Yvonne attempts to patch things up but Shirley turns her away and seeks solace with her sister Beverly. Ken and Suzie investigate the driver when it appears that he was a drug dealer, but Yvonne walks into the OBBO in uniform chasing after sister Beverly, who is subsequently arrested. SO19 find out that Rollins is gay, but as opposed to be annoyed he was found out, he proposes to Lance. With romance in the air, the Christmas party gets into full swing, and new girl Amber certainly enjoys herself - and causes much gossip - by very publicly kissing one of the barmaids – but sadly it looks like love is off the cards for Neil when he spies lover Andrea in a passionate embrace with Smithy.

The Bill - Season 21 - Episode 25

Dan Casper arrives for his first day at Sun Hill, and immediately risks life and limb to rescue a girl attempting to kill herself on a dual carriageway. He discovers that the young girl, Rosa Salcedo, who is Brazilian, is deaf and is unable to lip-read, but when an interpreter finally turns up, Dan discovers that Rosa has been raped and beaten by her employers. When Rosa absconds from a safe house, Dan and Gary discover that she has been having a relationship with her employer's son, and that he is responsible for her pregnancy. As they discover Rosa has been taken to have an unwanted abortion, Dan and Gary race to save her, but despite their best efforts, the case has a tragic ending.

The Bill - Season 26 - Episode 11

The hunt for them who murdered Paul Sorrell continues after Devon Marshall and Jedda Atkins are released due to lack of evidence. Max believes that teenager Jasmine Harris has information she is hiding. Mickey doesn't want her involved but Neil over rules him. Devon makes a deal after his house is burgled and his car set on fire and tells the police who really fired the bullet.
