The son contacts Hell Girl but decides not to go through with it. Shortly after this the producer is killed by the writer, but before the writer can kill the son a woman whose child he killed sends him to hell. This show is significant because it introduces character Takuma Kurebayashi, whom Ai empathizes with.

Chiriko has fallen in love with the radio show "Midnight Silence" DJ Joutarou, who often reads her letters on-air. She is approached by a girl named Haname who claims to be another well-known mail sender. The two quickly become friends. But Haname understands the DJ is just a persona, not reality – and showing the reality to Chiriko causes her to react badly and contact the Hell Hotline.
