The uprising hangs in the air. In the German army there is growing skepticism about the future fate of war and Warsaw. Rainer is mocking the current plans of the army command. Bronek and Władek become commanders of AK platoons. Together with Michał and Janek they receive a special task - they are to pick up a courier from London with very important information for the command of the uprising. A story about the fighting route of one branch. The last days of July 1944. Throughout Warsaw pull columns of German troops withdrawn from the eastern front. The city is growing. National Army officers debate the outbreak of the uprising. Janek, Bronek, Michał and Władek are assigned to a special company, which, during the uprising, is intended to be a cover for the Headquarters. Waiting for the announcement of the hours The commander of the company, Krawiec, orders Wladek to pick up a courier near Warsaw with instructions from the London government.

The W-hour finds insurgents in various places in Warsaw. Wladek's platoon arrived at the place of the grouping, to the factory in Wola. Bronek detachment cut off by Germans breaks through the ruins of the ghetto. Bronek's soldiers lie in the field of destruction of the German rkm. Apaczk pulls out, claiming he can handle the Germans only with a knife. Karkowski reports to Rainer about the planned attack on the police district.
