#1 - Over the Hill
The Bill - Season 17 - Episode 28
It's Sgt. Matt Boyden's 40th birthday, and to make matters worse, he has to cancel a date to attend an outward-pursuit weekend with PC Vicky Hagen and a group of wayward teenagers. CID investigate the serious bashing of an elderly man, and their prime suspect is Jason Wyatt who had attacked the same man some months previously. Jason is one of the group with Boyden and Hagen, and his aggressive personality causes several arguments and fights over the weekend. Boyden forms a bond with the boy though, and suspects Jason's abusive father had more to do with the attack. Forensics prove him right, but to Boyden's dismay, Jason faces a manslaughter charge as the injuries he inflicted on the man months ago caused the man to die. Hagen promises Boyden a birthday drink, but the relief have organised a surprise party, so they take a raincheck.

Whilst on a week's secondment to Scotland Yard's Art and Antiques Squad, Lennox is tasked with investigating a young woman, Tessa Gannon, who tried to sell a forged painting to a gallery. Lennox soon finds a receipt from a gallery owned by an art dealer named Ivor Gregory, who has form for deception. Lennox befriends an artist named Richard Townes, who charges into Gregory's gallery as Lennox peruses the paintings. In the hope of getting a closer look at one of the paintings, Lennox arranges for his wife Shona to buy one of them. He gets it verified, and is disappointed when it is an original. When the painting is returned for re-framing, Lennox realises Gregory has swapped it for a fake.

The Bill - Season 19 - Episode 48
PC Reg Hollis intervenes when he sees a trio of youths harassing a bus driver, but the situation takes a dangerous turn when one of the youths pulls out a gun, and they hijack the bus with Hollis, the driver and a busload of terrified passengers. The gun is one of Alan Trent's replicas from the Coal Lane estate, and it backfires, hitting the driver. PCs Best and Harman spot the runaway bus, but their moment of glory is lost when PC Taviner and Sgt Murphy take over the pursuit in the area car. A man is found beaten in the street, with PC Polly Page's friend Dr Owen Preston tending to him. When it is revealed that this was the man who killed Preston's wife in a drink-driving accident, to Page's horror he becomes the prime suspect. When the victim revives, he clears Preston of any wrongdoing, but Page's decision to help Preston end his life could have far-reaching consequences. The Bill - Season 19 - Episode 70
McAllister acts as a decoy to catch property developer Charles Vanderbilt in the act, but is taken aback when one of Vanderbilt's henchmen lobs a grenade through the window of the stake-out flat. Hunter asks Tait and Klein to keep an eye on Vanderbilt's right-hand man, and tail him following an altercation. When Klein corners Vanderbilt's second-in-command, Jim Conrad, the ensuing events once again leave Klein with trouble looming. Meanwhile, Nixon manages to persuade Ackland to go undercover to attract the online-ad burglar, and Stamp and Kent try to identify a young boy who has found unconscious in the street, having been the victim of an overdose of ecstasy.

DS Phil Hunter and DC Eva Sharpe follow separate lines of enquiry when investigating a young prostitute who's been stabbed. Phil believes that a young schizophrenic is responsible but Eva takes the time to delve deeper and uncover the actual perpetrator. But an unorthodox interview with a bailed suspect lands her in a life-threatening situation with corrupt social worker, Martin Fisher (Don Gilet from Baby Father). PC Nick Klein is furious when Phil takes the credit on the case and decides to expose him once and for all. Nick puts in a call to Phil's wife but will he really tell her about Phil's secret love child Madison? PC Jim Carver suffers the embarrassment of having a drunken wife bought into the station on a disorderly charge. Wife Marie is quick to have a go at Jim for leaving her in the cells all day and he is eventually pushed to breaking point. Meanwhile, Yvonne and Amber investigate when a robber leaves a rather strange calling card at the scene of his latest burglary – a picture of his backside on the fax machine. Phil and Terry then discover an elaborate plan to set-up the husband of the robber's ex-girlfriend.
