Professionally, she investigates the murder of Ines, Jan Schulte's cousin. The 21-year-old had been working for several months as an intern at the town hall, where her body was also found. During the investigation, Pit, the friend of the dead, and Fräulein Berger, the jealous secretary of Mayor Hans Zwanziger, first come under suspicion. Jan Schulte himself, who obviously has money problems and who shares a common inheritance with his dead cousin, is also targeted by the investigation. In the end, however, everything is completely different. In order to advance professionally, she blackmailed mayor Hans Zwanziger. With so many motives, Sophie Haas and her team have to pull out to find the murderer.
