Makoto first sees Kotonoha on the train. After seeing Kotonoha's picture on Makoto's cellphone, Sekai decides to play cupid and match Makoto together with Kotonoha by having lunch together. The next day, Makoto confesses to Kotonoha, which she accepts. Later that afternoon, while Makoto was thanking Sekai for setting him and Kotonoha up, not knowing how he should thank her, Sekai kisses him, saying that it was enough as a reward, and runs inside the train shouting "good luck" to a dazed Makoto.
