Yoo-seul is a talented pianist who won various contests. One day, Yoo-seul has an accident, and because of that she may never play the piano again. With the help of her friend Cha-sik and her rival Jin-mok, Yoo-seul begins to live a new life.

Cha- sik wants to prove to Jin-mok that he's the son of the Wise Man by winning the piano competition. He asks Yoo-seul to accompany him to the piano competition, and Yoo-seul teaches Cha-sik to play the piano. Meanwhile, Jin-mok's father tells him that he shouldn't be fooled by his talent and focus only on the piano, but should also prepare for the SATs. Conflicted, Jin-mok begins to worry about Cha-sik, who is far less talented than him, and Yoo-seul, who is in a much worse situation, as they practice for the competition.

Meanwhile, Jin-mok, who feels guilty that Yoo-seul's blindness is due to her prayers, offers to be her helper, but an unexpected competitor appears.

Yoon Yoo-seul, the first-ranked piano student at Hanju High School, and Seo Jin-mok, the second-ranked piano student, have been best friends for nearly a decade. Jin-mok wants to beat Yoo-seul, a natural piano prodigy, just once, so he volunteers to be the page-turner for Yoo-seul's sheet music in the initial exam. Meanwhile, Cha-sik, a pole vaulter, needs to win a medal at the national championships in order to go to college. But when his mother is ignored by the first-place athlete's parents in the stands during the competition, he becomes enraged and recklessly declares that he will challenge the Korean record in order to beat the first-place athlete.
