The tension with the population is palpable. During a SOS Médecins intervention, Alyson is aggressively confronted by the family of a patient who has been waiting for an ambulance for six hours. She calls Hugo for help.

Following Alyson's assault, SOS Médecins went on strike, leaving a large portion of the population without access to medical care. Patients are arriving in droves at the emergency room. Brun, Arben, and Chloé try to cope, with help from Alyson and Hugo. Despite Chloé and Arben's repeated requests, Brun opposes the opening of additional beds. To avoid leaving patients without care, Chloé and Arben decide to proceed without his approval.
