Joan obtains the help of Blackmoor screw Cynthia Leach, to do some nasty work to Ruth Ballinger. Lou decides to run for council, hoping her new scheme of giving gifts, and being nice to the women will change their minds about voting her in. Frank holds Dennis and Meg and gunpoint, tormenting them both to a bloody climax. Ettie wants to get out so she can open a home for war veterans, or disadvantaged kids. Daphne has her first session to discover why she gets depressed, and the answer may get her more than she counted on.

Nora attends Myra's funeral, and meets Geoff Macrae, who both swap stories of how much they loved Myra. Remand prisoner Queenie Marshall joins the women on a charge of assault. She's a hit with the girls after she makes Andrew Fry quit. Meg is frustrated and upset that Dennis is giving up his will to get better. Lou becomes agitated that Lexie is spoiling her plans to get elected on the council. Nora may once again face the ultimite consequence for fighting.

The gallery robbery is successful, until a twist of plan costs one of the girls their life. Ann feels guilty over the death. Joyce's life is in danger.

Pippa's art class ends in disaster as the women are fired up by Lou's campaign against Ann: Pippa insults Rita, so she decks her and gets hauled off to Solitary. Lou pours yellow paint down Rita's leather jacket, ruining it. Joan drops the jacket off to Rita in the pound, enraging her no end. Nora vanishes, and it later turns out she has escaped. Slasher and the Conquerors turn up at Pippa and Ben's wedding and try to disrupt the ceremony. Daphne wins her appeal and is released. Jenny decides to get her own flat and move out of Ann's place. David tells Eve he couldn't kill Joyce and calls off their affair. Racked with guilt, though, he returns to the prison after the wedding and shoots himself in the interview room in front of Eve.

Jessie's life is in threat as she makes a final bid to ensnare Bassinger and put him behind bars. Bob announces he is leaving Wentworth in order to ensure Kath's safety. Kath tells Nancy that Rita and her friends better watch out - because now she has nothing to lose. Joan throws her weight around in the aftermath of her appointment as Deputy.

Joan instructs Kath and Janet to ruin the wedding, resulting in them kidnapping Julie in her wedding dress and tying her up in the boiler room. They also set Rita and Alice up in a fight and make it look like they were to blame. Lexie recovers from her mishap with a stint in Maternity. Nancy and Julie cook up a plan to get back at Joan for reading the diary. Joan is forced to continue smuggling drugs into Wentworth.

With Ann off again following her collapse, Joyce turns down the Acting Governor job and Len is given it instead. Len and Joan come to blows and fight in the corridor after lockup. Meg is unable to go through with the abortion. With Reb off to Blackmoor, Lou plans to take over her rackets. Myra and Judy search Reb's cell and find her master key. Yemil refuses to see a lawyer and upon learning that the driver of the other car has died, she is devastated. Bobbie and Marlene quarrel over Matt's affections. Frank plans to start making his own booze in the garden and tries to force himself on Bobbie. Oh, and there's more rubbish with Aussie the cockroach but really, who cares?

Joan is at her wits end after an argument with Shane causes him to run away. Anita's true identity is revealed. Dennis becomes increasingly worried about the charges laid against him. Marlene's preparations for the wedding are becoming more and more closer, especially as her wedding dresses arrive. Jan is given the silent treatment by the women.

Dennis cracks under the pressures of being watched all the time, and is charged with murder. Marlene worries desperately about her weight after ripping a wedding dress she tried on. Jan loses her sense of reality after being heavied by Alice and Lexie. Joan hacks Lexie's hair off. Meg tries to convince Ettie to move into a retirement village. Lou puts Anita under pressure about her lifestyle and in turn, Joan seeks solace in Anita about her father.

Lou and May come to blows. Ruth begins to live in a lap of luxury and starts to implicity 'use' some of the girls. Joan makes her return to Wentworth, reverting back to her old regime of intimidating the new prisoners. Ann gives her a stern lecture about shaping up...or shipping out. Ettie lies to Meg about being happy in the retirement village, and decides to make her way back to Wentworth...in a very bad way.

Joan works in cohorts with Costello and the other henchmen to help get Ruth out, but only if Ruth helps get rid of Myra once and for all. Ruth plans Myra's death. Jenny is caught handling her grandmother's corpse by Mrs. Goddard and is promptly arrested for murder and sent to Wentworth. Lexie thinks everyone is against her when Ruth rejects her and says there is no job offer for her anymore when she gets out.

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 48
The knives are out as Nancy and Rita finally clash over her intention to kill Joan. Janet rips up Merle's comics and tells her Rita was responsible, but Kath and Marty persuade Merle otherwise. Lexie and Roach plot to set up Rodney with a bag of herbs masquerading as drugs, and a video tape. Joan learns that Parker has gotten his comeuppance in jail. The Pringles return from their honeymoon, regaling the women with their fascinating stories.

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 104
Rita carries out the robbery but is recaptured and brought back to Wentworth in a bad way. Joan goes to pick up the cash but chickens out. Alice gets Tom to bring in his motorbike for Rita to ride in the grounds as a birthday treat. Ann is told her reforms have been accepted and Dwyer sacked. Rita announces she's standing down as Top Dog and wants Kath to take over. Harry is transferred to Barnhurst. Joan arrives at work next day to hear Rita died during the night. She finally picks up the stolen loot, but the cops are waiting for her and she arrives in Wentworth on remand overnight and is put in Solitary. Joan starts cracking up and is horrified when her meal is brought in by a very much alive Rita. She is taken away to another prison next morning as the women whoop and holler. Rita tells Alice she's ""going to be the oldest biker in the world"".

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 7 - Episode 66
The phony escape plan and a bashing from Lou has Nikki pleading to be let off the hook. Meanwhile Lou and Lexie believe the escape plan is for real, and want in. Daphne becomes delirious over Ben, believing he wants to marry her. Food supplies return to normal. The entire scandel is revealed in the media, with Chauncer being stood down as Head of Department.
#19 - Episode 667
Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 79
Events at Blackmoor build to a shattering climax as Rita leads the women to riot, taking several officers hostage. Craven issues a devastating order that prompts a grieving Rita to burn the prison to the ground. Meanwhile, Kath incites the Wentworth women into a rooftop protest in support of Rita, then wriggles out of responsibility for it.

With Blackmoor burned to the ground, Rita and the inmates arrive at Wentworth along with Craven, who forms a deadly alliance with Joan and sets out to make as much trouble as he can for everyone - especially Ann Reynolds.

Lexie and Jessie overpower Bassinger and tie him up, but they're sent back to Wentworth charged with his assault when the police don't believe their story.

When Ann decides to return to work, the Department make a decision about Bob's future, which could have serious repercussions. Lou finds she has no friends left, not even her once-loyal henchwoman Alice, and has nowhere left to turn. Pippa makes it clear she disapproves of Ann's relationship with Dan.

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 23
Jessie is rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but Lexie is unconcerned. Lou holds Flora and Sean hostage at gunpoint, before shooting them both dead at point-blank range. Dan's involvement with the bikies causes problems in his relationship with Ann. Pocco roams the prison under the oblivious officers' noses.

With Lou on her way back to Wentworth after murdering Flora and Sean Jenkins, a grieving Alice quietly vows to kill Lou when she returns. Brought back to the infirmary, Lou finds a threatening message in her food. Bob learns Kath is on her way to the prison. Steve warns Joan that she is heading for a breakdown.

Meg is demoted and replaced as Deputy Governor by a gleeful Joan, who also ruins Julie's chance of parole and future happiness. Is there a lagger among the women? As the women prepare for the telethon, Kath has Alice beaten up when she can't pay her protection money. Rita enlists Ida's help to prepare a nasty surprise in store for Kath. Prostitute Lisa Mullins is admitted to Wentworth for blackmailing Dwyer's son, unaware her new cellmate is an undercover policewoman, sent in to protect her.

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 64
Kath's kidnapping threatens to throw the telethon into disarray and Merle is distraught at her disappearance, blaming Rita and Alice. Alice is elected the new Top Dog at Rita's suggestion. Lorelei gets off when she finally goes to trial and returns home to disturbing revelations regarding her mother and Zoe. Dan tells Ann that he is moving out.

Rita and her gang give Janet a makeover, driving her to drastic measures.

Spider and Vicki attack Sarah and spray-paint her white. Incensed, Sarah takes drastic action and places poisonous chemicals in the air conditioning system, causing mass illness and evacuation of H Block. Lisa's sudden inability to speak is diagnosed as all being in her head. Joan suggests to Ann that they start a prison shop.

On the boat, Roach is falling for Mick and decides that she isn't going back with the others. Back in Wentworth, Kath throws her weight around with the other girls.

The aftermath of the boat dramas reverberate around Wentworth as Kath plots to put Rita and her supporters in her place. Joan is still missing - until the noise of a helicopter overhead signifies her return from apparent death. Lexie and Lorelei plan a surprise party for Merle to try and win her over to their side, but Kath gets Vicki to help ruin the party for her. Nancy's son comes to visit and he has a few surprises in store for her.

The big chip on Sarah West's shoulder causes trouble as she struggles to settle in with the women in Wentworth, against Spider's racist taunts and Merle's worries that she'll put a curse on her. Wendy returns to visit Lisa and has to tell her that Lester is dead, after which Lisa tries to slash her wrists with a broken bottle.

Prisoner: Cell Block H - Season 8 - Episode 40
Despite several people's best efforts to ruin it, Julie and Steve finally tie the knot in the prison. Next day, Lexie and the girls say a tearful goodbye to Chook as she is transferred back to Barnhurst. Ann faces the wrath of Dwyer for letting the wedding go ahead, and quite possibly the sack. Merle finds Roach's stash of coke inside a toy robot and decides to steal the robot, thinking the coke is plutonium.
