Clayton gets rid of his doubts about moving into Southfork. Donna warns Edgar Randolph against J.R.'s manipulations and blackmail. Bobby and Jenna get much closer. J.R. asks Sue Ellen about having another child but she says it will never happen. Donna and Ray push Ellie and Clayton to set a wedding date. J.R.'s campaign for power puts him further under the influence of Leslie Stewart who, much to his frustration, keeps him at arm's length. The two sides of the Takapa project move forward in their plans. Alex makes a play for Pam. Sue Ellen sees Clint again. Miss Ellie expresses her anger to Jock. J.R. moves ahead with his plans to topple the southeast Asian government which confiscated his foreign oil wells.

J.R. senses trouble with the Marinos deal, so he manipulates the cartel to avoid possible loss. Ray shares with Miss Ellie his view on her handling of Clayton's problem. Jeannie is so determined to marry Tony,that she decides to use an ancient love spell,which consist of obtaining three personal items from the love; a lock of hair,a piece of fingernail,and a piece of clothing.She then recites the incantation,filling in her name,and the name of the love.Haji,the Master of all of the Genies finds out,and is very displeased.He warns Jeannie to remove the spell,but she refuses,and as a result her powers goes haywire.Tony trips,and falls;he breaks his wrist,and ankle,and developes acute appendicitice.When Jeannie realises that it is because of the spell that she put Tony under that she is losing her power.To cure Tony of his injuries,she must reverse the spell.She does,and though Tony is healed Jeannie still tries to marry him with preacher,but Tony will have none of it now that he is no longer under any spell.
John Ross is very happy having both parents around. Cliff warns Mandy Winger against J.R. Jenna breaks up with Jack who leaves Dallas in anger. Ray and Donna temporarily move into Southfork. J.R. gives Mandy an apology gift. Cliff hires a man to spy on J.R. and Angelica Nero. Pam receives a surprise return on Bobby's emerald-mine investment in Columbia.
Kimberly gets serious about divorcing Wilson and she puts pressure on J.R. to live up to his part of the deal. Ray wants to be a good father to Charlie.
