Gary Lineker presents highlights of the day's Premier League games, which include Newcastle's match against Arsenal. The Gunners ended last season strongly, lifting the FA Cup at Wembley after thrashing Aston Villa, but a poor start to their league campaign prevented them from challenging for the league title. Arsene Wenger's men have won their last seven games against Newcastle, and will be hopeful of extending that winning run at St James' Park. Elsewhere, reigning champions Chelsea face fellow Londoners Crystal Palace, while Aston Villa meet Sunderland, Bournemouth host Leicester and West Ham travel to Liverpool. Chelsea began their title defence at home to Swansea, who had not won this fixture for 90 years, while an expensively revamped Manchester United side hosted Tottenham. The three promoted sides were all in action: Bournemouth made their top-flight debut against Aston Villa, Norwich welcomed Crystal Palace to Carrow Road, and Watford travelled to Everton.

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho is back for a second spell in charge of Chelsea - they host newly-promoted Hull at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Ian Holloway's Crystal Palace will be out to prove that they should not necessarily be firm favourites for relegation as Tottenham go to Selhurst Park for a hotly-contested London derby.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the heavyweight clash between Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford. Both clubs have new managers in charge and it will be fascinating to see if either of them could lay down a marker for the rest of the campaign with the 2013-14 season in its infancy. The headline-making Jose Mourinho has pulled off some crucial victories at Old Trafford before, while this is David Moyes' first home game in charge of Manchester United. There will also be highlights of all the weekend's action, including Sunday's match between Premier League new boys Cardiff City and Manchester City, plus Tottenham and Swansea's encounter at White Hart Lane.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three Premier League matches, including two mouthwatering derbies, with Liverpool hosting Manchester United and Arsenal in action against north London rivals Tottenham. With analysis from John Hartson, Gus Poyet and Danny Murphy. The rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United, England's two most successful clubs, ensures games between the two north west teams are always fiercely competitive. But today's fixture has an added edge following United's recruitment of manager David Moyes, who has arrived after 11 years in charge of Liverpool's cross-city rivals Everton. The Scot never won a game at Anfield while in charge of the Toffees, and will want to put that record right with his new club. Derby matches can sometimes be cagey affairs, but games between Arsenal and Tottenham invariably produce entertainment. The previous six meetings have yielded a total of 31 goals - including 5-2 wins for Arsenal in the previous two matches at the Emirates. The Gunners once again edged Spurs to clinch Champions League qualification last season, so Andre Villas-Boas' side will be out for revenge. The day's other game sees West Brom take on a Swansea side who were on Europa League duty in midweek. Mark and guests will also look back at the goals from yesterday's seven matches.

West Ham have a similarly burly target man in Andy Carroll, and both of them are likely to be battling for the same place in Roy Hodgson's England squad over the coming season. Highlights and analysis of the day's two Premier League fixtures, as Sunderland host Liverpool and Stoke welcome Norwich. Sunderland head coach Paulo Di Canio brought in 14 players over the summer and is already under pressure after failing to win a Premier League game in August. Conversely, Liverpool made a superb start to the season, including victory over champions Manchester United. Stoke made a promising start to the season under new manager Mark Hughes, but after tough fixtures against Manchester City and Arsenal they will welcome the visit of Norwich, who have never won at the Britannia Stadium in eight attempts. Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park. The home side are looking to make amends for their 4-0 defeat to Spurs in the League Cup third round last month. Goals from Paulinho, Nacer Chadli and a brace from Jermain Defoe gave the visitors a comfortable win, although the hosts were controversially denied a clear-cut penalty early in the second half. Tottenham also won 4-0 on their last Premier League visit to Villa Park, with Gareth Bale scoring a hat-trick. The Welshman has since left White Hart Lane to join Real Madrid, but the Londoners have reinvested the proceeds from his sale, purchasing exciting talents such as Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. So despite Bale's departure, Andre Villas-Boas' side have high hopes of breaking into the top four this season. Mark and guests also look back at the goals from Saturday's eight matches.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from a busy day of Premier League action. With Jose Mourinho having replaced Manuel Pellegrini as Real Madrid manager, the two now do battle in the Premier League, with Mourinho's Chelsea hosting Pellegrini's Manchester City at Stamford Bridge. Sunderland meet Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light, with the Black Cats desperate for points after a wretched start to the season. Tottenham's form has been encouraging so far in this campaign, and the London side were aiming to rack up another three points against newly-promoted Hull City. The day's other fixture pits Swansea against West Ham at the Liberty Stadium.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from the Premier League, plus a look back at Saturday's goals. While the fixture list might be relatively quiet, with just two games, the day's action is sure to be explosive with South Wales rivals Cardiff and Swansea going head-to-head. The clash at the Cardiff City Stadium is the first-ever top-flight meeting of the two sides. Elsewhere Everton take on Tottenham in what is, if last season is anything to go by, sure to be an equally entertaining encounter. Two stoppage-time goals earned the Toffees a last-gasp 2-1 victory last term, and new Everton boss Roberto Martinez will be after more of the same as he looks to build on his side's impressive start to this campaign.

Mark Chapman presents highlights from a busy day of Premier League action, as Arsenal travel to champions Manchester United for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement. The Gunners are looking to halt a four-game losing league streak at Old Trafford. Manchester City make the trip to the Stadium of Light, something of a bogey ground for City following 1-0 defeats on each of their last three visits. Newcastle are in London to take on Tottenham, while Swansea host Stoke in the day's other games.

Highlights and analysis of the day's three Premier League matches, plus a round-up of Saturday's action, introduced by Mark Chapman. Arsenal have approached the new season in confident mood after ending the last campaign strongly and retaining the FA Cup. Sunday's opponents West Ham hadn't beaten the Gunners in 15 attempts, but their new manager Slaven Bilic has been backed in the transfer market and set a target of a top-eight finish by the club's owners. There was a managerial bow too for Steve McClaren at Newcastle, who hosted Southampton, while Stoke City faced Liverpool in a repeat of the final day of last season, when the Potters scored five first-half goals as Brendan Rodgers' side were thrashed 6-1.

Champions Chelsea are unbeaten in the Premier League against last season's runners-up Manchester City since Jose Mourinho returned to the west London club. Mourinho will be looking to extend that run to five games, and with it steal an early march in the fledgling title race. Crystal Palace invested heavily in new signings over the summer, including one-time Arsenal target Yohan Cabaye. The Eagles' new arrivals are sure of a warm reception from the Selhurst Park faithful ahead of their home league debuts as Arsene Wenger's Gunners make the short trip across London.

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's three matches in the Premier League. In the day's early kick-off, West Brom took on champions Chelsea at the Hawthorns. Back in May, the Baggies inflicted a surprise 3-0 defeat on the Blues, but it mattered not to Jose Mourinho, as his side had already secured the title. Everton welcome Manchester City to Goodison Park, meaning an early return to Merseyside for Raheem Sterling, whose controversial move from Liverpool to Man City has been one of the talking points of the summer. In Sunday's other match, Premier League new boys Watford host Southampton at Vicarage Road.
