Wentworth is evacuated, but the dance team refuse to leave until they have completed the marathon. One of the deaf children goes missing in the confusion, so Judy goes to try and find her and collapses with exhaustion. The women complete the marathon and join the evacuation. The bomb threat turns out to be a hoax. Angel slashes Marlene's teddy bear with a pair of scissors and sets Bobbie up for it. Heather asks Myra to help get rid of Joan. She and the women co-operate to set Joan up for everything from bashings to drugs inside the jail. Ann orders Meg to take statements from all the women with regards to Joan's brutality. Bobbie bashes Angel in the shower block. Meg is surprised at home by a masked intruder and opens her front door to escape, only to let in Peter Wright, the man Angel hired to rape her.

Lou is wounded by Deidre after she accidentally shoots her arm but after some persuasion Lou gets out and is driven to the airport, looking quite affluent. Kerryn faints after it's discovered she hasn't eaten for some days and is visited by her stepson, him admitting how sorry he is for what happened to her. Myra discovers Bobbie's stash of drugs in the garden, and heavies her about it. Officer Len Murphy is to be transfered from Woodridge to Wentworth. Stan suffers a heart attack.

Ann realises that she must agree to let the men and women mix, or Joan will be appointed Governor. Marlene is believed to have been poisoned but ann thinks something more sinister is happening. Lou regrets agreeing to be the bait for Len, and tells Reb she won't be helping her, but Reb says otherwise. The Sarah Higgins murder case is being dropped. New prisoner 'Jane Doe' arrives at Wentworth, refusing to say a word, holding a prayer book for comfort. Meg agrees to see a counsellor for her troubles and reveals the pregnancy was caused by rape. Reb's lies are spread everywhere, she blames Lou for the dope slipped to Marlene. Geoff is openly sick of Frank's treatement of Matt and gives him a blow to the stomach to hammer the message to him. The men and the new prisoner are finally brought into with the women, Myra shunning Geoff, Frank fraternising with every woman and Lou taunting the new arrival.
