Yamato Kazakiri, a young zoologist, is serving as a guide during a nature observation when a mysterious cube takes him to Zyuland, a strange world inhabited by humanoid animals known as the Zyumans. Yamato meets four Zyumans while in Zyuland: Sela, Leo, Tusk, and Amu. When the human world is attacked by space outlaws called the Deathgaliens, Yamato’s new friends transform to fight the threat. A new passionate desire is brought to life within Yamato after witnessing the transformation.

A new phantom thief arrives from France and scares off a Ganglar. The next day, Kairi is shocked to learn of this when a man loudly exclaims to him that he is Lupin X, but Keiichirou then arrests him. Hilltop hears of this and barges into the interrogation room where he explains that the man is actually a cop.

Super Sentai - Season 40 - Episode 3

The Zyumans cannot return to Zyuland until they find the missing King's Credentials. Amu thinks she has found it and takes Yamato along with her, but she seems more interested in experiencing human culture. Their plan gets cancelled thanks to a Deathgalien Player Bowguns's attack. His attacks are too fast to be seen, until Yamato seems to unlock a new power.

The Lupinranger show up ready to fight a Ganglar, but get turned into children instead! Umika drops her VS Changer, which is found by the police, and so the thieves must steal it back.

Sela and Leo are kidnapped by the Deathgalien Player Amigard to be in his "Battle Show" where two people enter, and only one can leave, and he chooses best friends because it entertains him. As they fight, Leo holds back as Sela is a woman, which upsets her, and reminds her of the last time they fought in a martial arts tournament in Zyuland.

Super Sentai - Season 40 - Episode 5

The Deathgalien’s newest player, Gaburio, has appeared. The Zyuohgers appear but he escapes. While chasing him, they encounter Larry, a gorilla Zyuman living in the mountains who is very happy to see fellow Zyumen again, but the moment he sees Yamato, he runs in fear. Meanwhile, Deathgalien team leader Azarudo has come personally, and his power is incomparably higher than that of the players.

All three Patranger are rushed to the hospital, with Keiichirou having the most extensive injuries due to being poisoned. Umika and Kairi go to visit the police, but Sakuya and Tsukasa take off because their is still a Ganglar on the loose.

Using the power of the Mark of the King, Yamato and the four Zyuman transformed into the Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger! Even though they defeated Deathgalien's first attack, the Zyumans lost one of the six Mark of the Kings needed to open the portal back to Zyuland. Now stuck in the Human World, Yamato feels responsible for what happened and takes care of the four Zyumans and have them stay with him in his uncle's place. Sela, Leo, and Amu accept the offer, but Tusk refuses and goes off alone. Concerned about Tusk, Yamato goes after him only to encounter a new Deathgalien.

With Yamato using Larry's Zyuman power, Larry begins to age rapidly, threatening his life. Elsewhere, Azarudo discovers Gaburio is still alive, but has gone missing. The Zyuohgers track him down, again, but find someone looking entirely different.

A group of Moeba attack. The Zyuohgers have defeated a good number of Players already. They make quick work of the grunts. This was, however, just the calm before the storm. “Greetings, inferior life forms of Earth.” A gigantic hologram appears. The sole image of this being is enough to terrify everyone around. His name is Ginis and he is the owner of the Deathgalien. Ginis is ready to start his own game now.
